I can say the starting at $99 prom special is misleading. As I was there with my kiddo, I anticipated maybe $150. After everything it was $224 for everything. Since my son changes his mind constantly I was very hesitant to pay that upfront and/or at all, no matter the cancellation 15days before. When I asked those questions and asked how much cufflinks were, I received eye rolls when I asked to remove them. After hearing that total I asked if I could come back to pay it, as he just had the measurements and would just have to submit payment. I was told by end of day. Then I said well if I took the measurements with the order information and came in next week to order, could I do that? I was replied with more eye rolls and a “i guess attitude” and he said he would hold onto it.
I had to move money around as I definitely wasn’t anticipating that much. I returned about 5 minutes later and paid it. I told him that he may not have realized this but he was rolling his eyes during our conversation. I also stated that he may not know what some may be going through and sometimes kindness and grace needs to be given. He stood there quietly and tried to argue that he rolled his eyes. I said yes you did. I started to walk away and he tried to say it again.
I am someone who works in management. A simple, “Im sorry. I was not aware I did that.” Would have been fine. This man continued to argue it as I was left the store. I would hate to see someone who really truly is shocked by the amount or just trying to do their best receives the same response or worse. Less judgement, more grace.
Update: after I spoke with my son about this to make sure I wasn’t out of line, he said that when I turned my back this man was also laughing to himself during this conversation. He even said the guy was a jerk.
I emailed men’s warehouse like asked and was told it would be forwarded to management. No one has reached out. Which makes me think this is a common occurrence. This whole experience should have been a fun one. While looking back at this, the gentleman who was working with another family was super nice. He was explaining everything to the kid he was working with which was great. However this man we had was more annoyed than anything and now makes me wonder if we were purposely overcharged. MWH wouldn’t know this as they never reached out. Thank...
Read moreOriginally the gentleman who measured me was nice but the issue came when I got into the store to try and pick up my rental to find out that the pants were put into the system wrong. So after that the staff who were there specifically Sharon (apologies if I misspelled ) they tried to find me some pants that fit my waist and leg length. Fast forward they needed to have the tailor fix the leg so it was hemmed. Next problem came when I came into the store and the leg was either no tailored or was done wrong because the leg was still off. So they went to work on it again for me to pick up another day (this is a few days before the wedding). Day of I go to put the pants on and just do my final checks to find that the R leg was too long once again so I run to the store and try to get it fixed thank goodness for having Sharon there because she was the only reason I had my attire for the wedding. She hand stitched the pants leg for me and when I tried them on again the L leg came out and she had told me Im surprised that it didn't fall out before hand because there was only one stitch holding it together. So she remeasured by my legs and made one last change which ended up not only working out but made the pants look great. Long story short a mistake that almost cost me not having my pants for the wedding and ruined the day was saved b/c the efforts of Sharon and all the...
Read moreWe recently rented tuxes from Men's Wearhouse for our wedding on October 12th 2018. We were all fitted on time and with plenty of time to accommodate our date. 2 days prior to our wedding you can imagine my disgust as I have groomsmen trying on tuxes that have pants that are about mid calf, jackets that didn't fit, wrong shoes for the fathers, etc. I had no choice but to wait and inconvenience a family member to pick up my jacket the morning of my wedding. I had cufflinks that lost stones, my best man had a vest clip break and we had to tie his vest to get him through the day. Unorganized, unfortunate, terrible quality, and lack of anything that could be considered customer service is the best way for me to describe our experience. On an average we paid $195.00 per tux rental, you would think that measurements would be correct or at least they could have offered a group discount for all of the inconvenience. I returned my tux and others on the 13th, the day after the wedding and requested a manager to call me that following Monday and 4 days later I still haven't heard from them... I will never step foot into another Men's Wearhouse for purchases or rentals...
