I wish I could give zero stars. Let me first start out by saying that I have been shopping here for several years. I even shopped at the one in Winston Salem before they opened the Greensboro store. I think their meat prices are the best, but other things can be expensive.
On 10/22, I purchased several meats here as normal. On 10/23, after cooking the London Broil Shoulder, my son went to cut it to start eating and found parasites inside. We immediately took photos and contacted the store.
The first woman I spoke to claimed to be the manager but started saying she didnāt understand English when I began explaining what happened. She then transferred me to the meat department.
The man in the meat department asked if I had cooked the meat. I explained I had, and the parasites were inside and discovered when getting ready to eat it. He then asked, āSo what do you want me to do? Just bring it back up here with the package and receipt, and Iāll give you a refund.ā I explained to the man that I did not care about the money. I was more concerned for everyoneās safety and wanted them to check their meats, so no one gets seriously sick or die. He again says, āJust bring it back, and Iāll give you your money back.ā At that point, I ended the call and filed a report with the Guilford County Health Department.
Please, take this as a warning, and do not shop at this store. They obviously do not care about inspecting their foods. I had not read the reviews on them before. But after doing so, I am even more concerned for the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere are a number of concerns Iād like to express regarding this store. To begin, the cleanliness is well-maintained like floors and surfaces are tidy, and cashiers are generally efficient and attentive. However, the overall atmosphere of the store feels energetically low and somewhat unsettling. Many of the cashiers, who appear to be under 30, often seem unhappy or disengaged. On several visits, Iāve overheard conversations involving gossip, complaints about favoritism, and dissatisfaction with break schedules, which reflects a deeper issue within the work environment.
Pricing is another area of concern. For example, small trays of cherries that were priced under $3 one day were listed at over $5 the next, without explanation. This inconsistency, paired with the overall cost of items, makes the store feel overpriced compared to others.
In truth, this is a place I only visit when absolutely necessary. Stores like Chick-fil-A, Whole Foods, and Sprouts tend to foster a much more uplifting energy regarding both in staff demeanor and the overall experience. In contrast, this location reminds me more of low-vibration environments such as some Walmart or Waffle House locations.
I sincerely hope the staff find roles that bring them fulfillment, and that management takes meaningful steps to improve both the pricing structure and the energetic quality...
