Mayberry Ice Cream — Restaurant in Greensboro

1rst time visiting due to family insisting I tried the toasted pound cake. The customer service needs work. Greeting: dine in or take out, no hello, no how are you today. We choose to take out and processed to the counter, where we w8ed 30 minutes b4 some1 came to take our order. (While I was w8ing I noticed that no1 had on any hair nets nor gloves - which was a definite turnoff) I was about to leave when a young lady finally took our order, (still no thanks 4 w8ing or how are you 2day :-( ) I order a grilled chicken sandwich and the toasted strawberry pound cake. The chicken breast was big and juicy, it was really good - could have used a touch more seasoning though. My bread was wet which took away from how good the sandwich was. The pound cake WAS PROBABLY 1 OF THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER TASTED!!!! I was please that they allowed you to switch the ice cream (don't have 2 get vanilla) and assembly how u want. I wanted my cake and ice cream separate. My cake had the strawberry topping. IT WAS AMAZING - I TASTED MY CAKE 1RST, big mistake - I wound up eating my dessert b4 eating my sandwich. The wait time is pretty ridiculous compared to most places (ex. Coldstone or Ben and Jerry’s). We have a large family and we visited this establishment not at all thinking we would be there for as long as we were. First off, the area that it’s in isn’t in the best part of town so I was a bit apprehensive about going in.. Secondly, they take soooo long.. Geez.. the girl that waited on us was very impatient, and after she took the order, she huffed and said give me 30 minutes. We were like 30 mins for ice cream cones??!! Then she got my daughter’s order wrong and got an attitude because we asked for what she initially ordered. She took about ten minutes just to bring a single scoop cone back out. But we could see why she was so impatient, right after she handed my daughter her cone we saw her leaving.. guess her shift was over. I will say that the ice cream was pretty good, but I know if I go to Cold Stone, they will get my whole family through the line in about ten minutes and they are always happy. If they want this business to succeed, they need to retrain...

We decided to go to this Ice Cream Shop after dinner. We went there with our Son and Daughter in Law the their family. We entered the restaurant and found the smell repulsive. We were not greeted in anyway. The first young lady was pretty good. She took our orders and started making out ice cream cones. The next young lady whom we found out was the supervisor came over to help her fill out orders. We were given a small cup for our ice cream and because they were right next to the counter grabbed a larger bowl. Not realizing that the location charges .25 for additional cups or bowls. The manager on duty a thin woman with shades of red woven in her hair snapped at us and exclaimed “DON’T TOUCH THE CUPS”. We apologize and said we would pay for it. She got even more rude and disrespectful. . We found that they not only are rude but do not have any customer service experience. Guess we will be taking our business elsewhere...
