Originally Posted 9/26/21: This is the first time I have ever written a negative review. My fiancé Kyleigh went here today to shop for a wedding dress. She was torn between 2 dresses and ultimately selected one partially because she felt pressured. She did not leave the store with any product, the dress still needs to be ordered in her size. After leaving, she had more time to review the photos of her in the 2 dresses and it became clear that she felt she made the wrong decision and contacted the store right away to attempt to switch to the other dress. Their response was that they do not offer any refunds or returns. On the official website's FAQ page, they have a detailed return policy laid out but apparently there are purchases they mark as "Final Sale" and refuse to accept returns/refunds for. Our wedding is many months away and the purchase was just made today. While we understand and admit that she thought that was the dress she wanted, people change their minds and being in the store with multiple employees and family members sharing their opinions was not the perfect environment for her to weigh her options. All she wanted to do was switch to a different dress that she likes more. There is no good reason why a business who cares about the satisfaction of their customers should adamantly refuse to accommodate such a reasonable request. If she had been shown an ounce of empathy, we would have gladly come back for the bridesmaid dresses and recommended this place to all our friends and family but now we are left with writing a bad review to hopefully help someone else avoid the same tears and stress leading up to their big day and instead find a place with people who actually care about you. If someone from the store reaches out and helps us make this simple change then I will happily edit my review accordingly, but as of this time it seems they are unwilling to show any flexibility or work with us on this.
Edit 5/14/22: I just read their dishonest reply 7 months later. That is not true that they offered her the chance to exchange the dress for the other dress she liked. That is what she requested the same day after the order was placed and instead they just sent her an image of what was signed at point of sale saying that there are no refunds or exchanges. I get that they don't like that I left a negative review and wanted to respond to save face, but that is pathetic that they replied with lies and pretended they offered exactly what she asked for and she presumably stubbornly refused.    Read moreWow, this boutique is everything I could have dreamed of, and more. I had the pleasure of accompanying my daughter along with six others to an appointment on Sunday 4/30 and was beyond impressed and amazed.
We had visited another bridal shop in Raleigh on Saturday 4/29, and had no issues with that appointment. The first shop (Saturday) had provided adequate and satisfactory service, as far as we knew... however the stylist assigned to us was busy with other things and so we often would wait for her to return, but it wasn't a huge deal. Additionally, my daughter did not have anyone helping her to pin or get the dresses on in the fitting room, and she managed and we just accepted that as normal and were not upset by it. My daughter tried on eight dresses there, and found one that she loved, but wasn't sure it was THE ONE. So we kept our appointment with Duchess.
We were given a very courteous text the day of to let us know the prior appointment had run a little over, and asked if we could bump from 3:00 to 3:20 pm. And with the extra twenty minutes, we had to run an errand before hand, which ended up making a few of us even later than 3:20. I was initially a little worried about being rushed, as they closed at 4:00. However, Witneigh welcomed us, and took such great care of us, and my daughter.
Witneigh spent SOOOO much time helping my daughter find dresses that satisfied her "wants" while keeping a very cognizent eye on our budget. Upon selecting three dresses that fit the checklist, Witneigh was so detailed and purposeful in getting my daughter into each dress, and pinning from the back for a perfect image of the front of each dress, and repeating the task in the front to obtain a perfect image of the back as well.
Witneigh's attention to details, and ability to hear her clients is far above anything I have ever experienced. After staying with us until well after 5:30 (and never once looking at a clock or watch), she allowed my daughter to soak in each dress and imagine her wedding day in the most real way she could. My daughter had all the time she needed to try on her top two dresses twice and finalize her decision.
Witneigh is truly talented, and her passion for finding the right dress for her client is incredible, and over the top. We feel truly blessed to have worked with her to find the dress of my daughter's dreams.
And oh yeah, one more thing.... these dresses are not your run of the mill dresses.... the quality and workmanship of these dresses is mindblowing! We feel incredibly lucky to have found such a wonderful dress within our budget.

   Read moreWHERE IS MY DRESS?!!!! I purchased my wedding dress from this boutique on September 18, 2023! Today, March 30, 2024, 28 weeks later I have no dress! I have not heard from the boutique! I sent an email to inquire and Iâve gotten no response! This is a brides worst nightmare! Iâm literally in tears as I type this message. My wedding is in 60 days and I have no dress and no estimated time because this boutique doesnât respond to emails. When I purchased the dress I explained my time frame and I also over explained that I live in the Midwest as they are on the East Coast. I was reassured I would have my dress in enough time for alterations. The owner, Witneigh stated the designer would give me step by step updates as they were designing the dress. I HAVE HEARD NOTHING FROM NO ONE!!! I made no changes to the design of the dress. The dress was only altered to fit my measurements because Iâm top heavy. My sister stopped in the boutique and was told the owner wasnât there but they would have her give me a call. She was also told that this business doesnât respond to emails because they get a lot of spam!!! I would stay far far away from this place. I donât trust them enough to have a verbal conversation and prefer emails because Iâm already knowing Iâm going to have to take them to small claims court. I paid $3400 for my dress and itâs advertised on other trusted websites and boutiques for $1900-2200. I felt ripped off and robbed the day after I bought my dress and realized I could have gotten it from other boutiques for $1200 less! I expressed my concerns to the Witneigh and her husband the very next day after I did my research and then stopped back in for a 2nd visit. She tried to convince me the other boutiqueâs were selling fakes. I explained the designer has them on their website as a trusted partner. They are slick talkers and crooks in my opinion.
