When stopping into browse with my daughter, we loved the clothing selection. Being that it was her birthday, I figured I'd buy her a treat. I found two dresses for her and two outfits for myself. One of my outfits was a. simple cotton matching summer short and top set. When the items were rung up, the receipt stated that the little short and top set were $390! These were very plain, actually we thought they might even be pj's. When I saw this on the receipt, I didn't want them for that price. I hadn't even been given the clothes yet and the salesgirl argued with me about taking these off of my credit card. She stated I can only have a store credit. My new clothes were still behind the register! I was very angry! She explained this is the store policy. Policy or not, she should have immediately removed this ridiculously expensive little set off of my card. I told her I wanted to speak with the manager. She proceeded to go into the back room and call the owner/manager. After waiting for 15 minutes, she came back out to say, she will give me the credit this time but only this time. I was shocked that a store this expensive treated the clientele this way. I visited Pebble & Pear after my sister told me about this great new boutique that had opened and am so glad I did. I was lucky to visit on a day that the owner was there! Amy and another adorable employee helped me pick out the most fabulous dress. I had on a gym tank top to try on and also it seemed to be a spring dress so it had been hanging in my closet for about a month. Fast forward to about a week ago…I got a last minute call to meet a potential client…no time to shower…5 minutes to dress and be in the car…and this gorgeous dress just spoke to me. The owner Amy has great taste and an eye for quality products from demin, linen tops, knitted pieces, hand dyed fabrics for shopping for clothes that will last.
