They did not deserve the one star, but a few employees deserve more. but that is about it. What happened to me Sunday at HomeGoods in NC. I never shopped in HomeGoods until October 2017. However, since 10/13/17 I have spent in HomeGoods alone almost 800.00 just on Rae Dunn pottery for my daughter. I was in the store earlier in the week and was lied to by the store manager that they had no more Rae Dunn. I decided to go back later with my daughter and there was more Rae Dunn, tons of Rae Dunn. Did the manager just want me out of her store, was she afraid I might hurt something or steal something, or better yet take a piece of Rae Dunn they are actually trying to hold because they knew someone that wanted it? I am not sure of the reason and I did call corporate about that incident but even the District Manager blew me off. However, Sunday 12/3/17, I have never been treated so bad by an employee in any store. I was in Greensboro store again with a friend looking for Rae Dunn as I normally do daily and had not asked an employee any questions this particular day, the only thing I was doing was walking around looking on there "tanks" and waiting for another. Then an employee comes out of the back and says there is no more Rae Dunn today and I said I am sure that is a lie since that I had already been told to me earlier in the week and it miraculously appeared. She stated she was not a LIAR, and there was no more and no more Rae Dunn was being brought out to upsellers like me. I stated I had already called corporate once and she said, would you like for me to get you the phone so you can call again I will even dial the number for you. I ask to speak to the Manager who was not very apologetic at all, just that it was not right for that to happen and she never approached me again. I did not get the ladies name that originally called me an up-seller. I decided to go back to get the name and as was walking back into the store to find out the employee that had called me and upseller and another employee was walking out and said oh we will have more Rae Dunn for you tomorrow. I have never been treated like that before and I worked in retail for years even over the holiday season. No matter a customer said I would do everything to make that customer happy and if I could not then I would get a manager that could. I understand that Rae Dunn is a hot ticket item. However, I am not going to fight over it, I do not up-sell to others. I have even taken out of my basket in that store to give to someone that was looking for something and could not find anything. I am not the only horror story about HomeGoods it seems I read more daily all over Facebook or either someone is telling me something that has happened. It seems that I see certain people in the store at certain times and at no other times and all of a sudden they have their piece and it came from HomeGoods. Who is the inside connection for all the people that get there "Unicorns" at HomeGoods? Someone needs to find out. Someone from the home office needs to investigate some of these stores to find out what is going on and why all this is happening. It is very sad for some honest people to be treated so rudely. If you look at reviews you will see I do not up-sell because I posted...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have shopped at this location multiple times a week for years and have always felt welcomed until today. Today an older employee was standing inside the door as I walked in with my children and mother. My mother and I both have a medical diagnosis that prevents us from wearing a mask. The company wide recording that plays throughout the store states that you ask customers to wear a mask unless you have a medical condition or other reason that prevents you from wearing one. Unless employees would like for me to pass out and hurt myself inside the store, and then assume responsibility for the medical bills as a result, I am unable to wear one, as is my mother. The employee at the door asked if I needed a mask, as she waved one in my face holding the disposable masks she was offering by the middle, with her bare hand, which is completely unsanitary. I explained to her that I have a medical exemption, she looked annoyed and then asked my mom who was behind me the same question, to which my mother had the same reply. The employee threw her hands up and said very sarcastically āALL OF YOU!?!?ā, then she drew a long breath and shook her head in disbelief at another employee as she mumbled something to the other employee under her breath. I was appalled, extremely offended that my mother and I both were being discriminated against. I almost turned around and left, and really wish I had. So HAS your company wide policy changed, are customers with medical exemptions no longer welcome...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAwesome store. It tends to offer shoppers and potential buyers a large selection of whatever it is that you are looking for. This store may not have as many different departments as āAt Homeā would, for example (as HomeGoods is a much smaller store than At Home).....but I do believe that if you are shopping HomeGoods you will still be able to find the product(s) that you seek, or need.....such merchandise and/or all merchandise for that matter would of course be made and/or crafted into a much sturdier, finer and attractive manner than you would find at At Home. (again, just my opinion)....
So yeah. Go to HomeGoods š If you couldnāt tell already, I am kind of in love with my new pillows. They go well with my new quilt set which was a difficult find at first. HomeGoods had everything I needed though! Thank you. &thank you to any/all helpful staff. I...
