Generally I have had good experiences with the Verizon store, especially if you don't mind waiting. Try to go when they are less busy.
I had one salesperson give me wrong information and it cost me hundreds and hundreds of dollars. Samsung and Verizon teamed up to offer a rebate , so one phone would be free, if you bought a new phone and new line. The sales associate said we would get a VR set for each new line too. Got home and found out online that we would not be getting a new VR. They required lots of information that was not easily obtainable. I did this for two phones and two lines. You can imagine how much this increased my bill. After months of trying I got one rebate, but could never get the other one. They sent me post cards saying I had not provided them information that I had indeed provided them. I called Verizon Customer Service several times and even got managers to try and help me. One manager gave me his email address and said to contact him if this issue was not resolved. I did email him after waiting the time they told me it would take to get my refund. I emailed him, he never called or emailed back. The Samsung people who were particularly hard to understand (I usually do fine with accents). I never got my rebate for the phone. The sales associate at Verizon led us to believe we could drop the extra phone as soon as we got our rebate which would be shortly. We were then told by Verizon over the phone that we would have to keep the phones for several months. During this time my bill kept climbing and climbing. I could not leave Verizon, because it was the only carrier that reached my son's remote area.
Recently we were told were told a price about a product with customer service, we got off the phone to think about it. When we called again, the price had changed and of course it was more expensive. My recommendation is that you get everything in writing before you leave the store. I told sales Associate I wanted what he was telling me in writing and he got huffy and walked off. The manager was then very helpful though. To top it all off over the weekend the website says I had been paying a monthly fee for an inexpensive phone, and the price was over 800 dollars! I would not have paid that much for a basic phone. It is going to be difficult to prove I did not purchase this phone that way. I am NOT looking forward to calling Verizon Customer Service, at all. They have the best signal and finally offer unlimited talk. text and data, but calling customer service with a problem is a nightmare for me.
Even getting on their website is hard. They constantly say my password is wrong, which I know is false, because I have software that keeps up with my passwords. I do not have to rely on my memory for the password. Remember get things in writing in the store and IF it is legal to do so, record the calls you make to customer service.
I gave the store 2 stars, instead of 1 because a lot of my problem was with customer service and not at the store, but it all started at the store when the sales associate gave me incorrect information. He was new and someone should have made sure he knew all the correct information ...
Read moreI wont step foot back in this store! I would go to anywhere but this Verizon store to buy a phone on the Verizon network. I bought a phone online there was an online only deal and the fastest way for me to get it was to pick up locally so I picked up at my guntersville store. I have set up many of phones never had an issue where I couldn't set up my own new phone. I called Verizon many times and they couldn't figure out why my device would not activate so I took it back up to where I got it and immediately she tried to charge me a lot of money to get the device activated when it was their fault that it wouldn't activate. This made me so mad I tried to give the phone back and she was going to charge me a lot of money to cancel the order. I didn't even place the order with her at this store I placed it online. When I told the Verizon people that were trying to help me over the phone they were shocked that she did this. As was I. Reminded me of the old Verizon that charged you for everything and entrapped people into spending money just to use their phone. Seems like they got sued for this exact thing that she did to me. I'm going to tell you the Verizon people that I talk to over the phone they went above and beyond they did everything they could for me and I was so appreciative of them but not the blonde in guntersville! She was mad that she didn't get to make a dollar off of me but had to hand me a phone so I'm pretty sure she sabotaged my order and what had happened is one of my SIM slots was not activated and the slim slot that was activated was activated as a virtual SIM but it had a real SIM in that slot. That way I would have to take it up there to him to get it set up and have to pay $60 for their mistake their mistake their mistake that is and still tried to charge me!...
Read moreI went to upgrade my device so I picked one that was on a promotion at $49.95, everything was going well with the Employee who was attending me until this new Store Manager showed up! Then everything that I was about to do to upgrade my device was halted by him! He did not want me to use my upgrade at his store because he said there was a new rule and that the Corporation and this rule that would go into effect on the 24th of August mind you it was still the 21st of August! Well this Rule from Corporate Prevented His Store from helping me do my simple Upgrade and that I would have to do this on my own through Verizon Wireless at Home(Fat Lie). He mentioned to the Girl that he would not give me the $49.95 price at the store and that I would have to pay the FULL PRICE on that phone! Wow he is a REAL BIG ASSET to the Verizon Wireless Corporation, and he just Blew Me Out the Door! I am an 8 year Faithfull Customer of Verizon, trying to simply upgrade my phone! What do you Think I did? Yup i just walked out and i am never ever going back to that Asset's (Store Manager),Verizon Store, Yup his CORPORATION STORE! YUCK! Got my own upgrade!
