This is a long post. I went into Guntersville Chevrolet, last year because of a promotion they were running. Was told that my Edge because it had do many miles on it , I needed to trade it in. The salesman picked out a 2019 Hyundai Tucson for me, I didn't choose it. Had the car for less than a month, had not even made the first payment. The catalytic converter went out on it, they did replace it for free. In October the check engine light came on again, also had an electrical issue with it. The panel that has the radio and other features would not turn off, or turn down. Took it back was told that they couldn't find anything wrong, and that because they put a smaller converter on it the check engine light would remain on. Was also told that it had nothing to do with the engine would be save to drive. Then in February was going home from work, and lost power, had to have it towed to them, missed two days of work. It was the catalytic converter again, part was under warranty, so free replacement. The check engine light came on two weeks ago, and it had a vacuum leak. Warranty covers fixing it but I have to pay the $200 deductible. When I asked them Friday to make this right all they could do was ask me to put $3000 down and they would put me in a new car. So today the panel is not working again, it will not turn off, or come up to the home screen.. I know when you buy a used car you're buying it has is. They keep telling me it's a good car. You tell me, what would you do. And I am not taking this review down. They may be good at selling new cars, but not so much with used. Madison so far this hasn't been made right, I continue to have issues with this car, if you truly wanted to make this right. You would get me out from under this car yall sold me. That is the only way to make this right. Yes they offered Mr a rental car, yes I have a warranty, buy I don't think I should have to pay anything to get it fixed. I missed two days of work in February, no one apologized for that or...
Read moreIm very grateful for Michael Maxfield (Max) and Bruce Moss, General Manager, for working with me to find the right car for my wife and myself. We drove to Guntersville all the way from Brandon, Mississippi to get the exact Equinox RS we wanted, when 2 dealerships near my home gave very little effort (if any) to find and secure the Equinox we wanted. I found Guntersville Chevrolet on the Chevrolet website as I searched on my own. I called them and Max took my call, took my information and description of what we wanted to buy, and followed up with texts and calls to keep me informed of what he and Bruce were working on. I was in a hurry to buy because the transmission in my wife's Infiniti QX60 failed, taking us down to 1 car. I probably worried Max to death but he worked to help me get the deal put together on his day off. Bruce got involved when they just couldn't secure exactly what we wanted and offered an alternative vehicle with a couple extras that could be secured, prepped, and delivered within my tight schedule. My wife and I made the 5 hour drive in a rental car and closed our deal on the gorgeous red 2026 Equinox RS. Meeting Max, Bruce, and Moody (F&I Manager) was a really nice pleasure. Moody was one of the best F&I Managers I've ever dealt with, and I've bought a lot of new cars in my lifetime. I would have loved to stick around awhile and chat with all of them because I felt very welcome, like a visit with family I hadn't seen for a long time. All were just really good people, very professional, and efficient at getting all the paperwork done so we could be on our way. Max spent sufficient time demonstrating all of the amazing features of the car so we could have a fun, safe drive home. Our drive home was 6 hours because we just had to drive through Clanton, AL to buy a couple baskets of Chilton County peaches - the best in the world! The new Equinox drove great, better actually than I expected. We love the car and can't wait to...
