Basic Nails — Local services in Haines City

Before I start with the Negitive part of this review let me start with the positive side. I have used their service 2x. They were very nice and polite and made everyone feel comfortable. The first day to 2 days later, my nails looked good. However, the first time I went I was tired and not paying much attention to the equipment...The second time I was certain that the nail tech did not use sanitized equipment nor did she open a new package. Both times I requested gel polish in which I paid extra for...both times within a week my nails chipped severely and both times 2 of my nails broke. That should not happen EVER with gel polish. The second time I told the nail tech to please be sure to use a GOOD top coat that my nail polish should last no less than 2 weeks. Guess what? 4 days later my polish chipped horribly. Upon having my polish removed this week at another shop I had to have my acrylic overlay that Basic Nails used removed because it was severly discolored and should not be a yellowish brown after just having them done. My Guess is they use cheap acrylic and 5 and dime polish. Sorry when I spend 50.00 on my nails I expect my polish to last 2 + weeks! I also expect you to use decent acrylic and sanitary equipment!!!

DO NOT COME HERE!!! I would give this place 0 starts but I can’t. I usually get my nails done here when i come to Florida for vacations, but this time it was horrible… I spent $90 for a manicure and pedicure. The attitude of the people working here is unbelievable, they are rude, unprofessional , and disrespectful. I was there for over 2h , the woman working there said she was able to do a certain design but it was a lie. Then we tried another; a more simple and common design and it was still bad. She was not paying attention to what i asked for (constantly messing up with the colors) the length of my nails are uneven , didn’t get any design because they were rushing me saying they had more clients and couldn’t spend more time doing my nails. OVERALL A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. At the end of that session i was unsatisfied and they told me to come back the next day to fix them .However, today when i went there they told me i needed to make an appointment (which they didn’t tell me yesterday) and said my nails are not as bad as another clients… Now i will have to go to another nail...

Lots of things wrong here but firstly the location is nice inside looks nice however… I asked for almond and the lady started shaping them and said “square?” To which I said no almond and I got this weird mix of slightly rounded at the edges and square. The color is beautiful but I asked for dip powder and was given acrylic treated like dip, this is ridiculous as acrylic isn’t as strong as dip so my nails have already started coming up as I’m doing some extreme activities thus why I asked for dip, to continue Im allergic to the reaction that occurs when acrylic sets which I did mention so I did end up having an allergic reaction though that one is more on me I should’ve protested more. The lady said she would match my toes to my nails but the colors are completely different they also didn’t buff my feet very much so they peeled for a few days after going. My friends acrylic set is also crooked and not the right shape either she got almond when she asked...
