Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Haines City

I am yet waiting on a phone call of reconciliation from management or some representative of this place that has a little moral decency. I had a terrible experience with this location! I'm not an aggressive person or a complainer but I'm in more disbelief about how this location treated me. I asked the manager (because he prepared my item) for caramel to be poured on my ice cream. Please keep in mind that the turtle waggle bowl in which I order comes with caramel. He told me that he would do it but I would have to pay additional. I asked him rhetorically, "doesn't this come with caramel". I knew the answer being that I get this item whenever I visit any Dairy Queen. He said, yes but if I ask her one more question he would put me out. I really thought he was just kidding due to the fact that I was asking a honest question without any type of negative attitude or body gestures. I proceeded to ask him again. He replied, "maam didnt I tell you that I will call the cops and have you removed". When I noticed that he wasnt joking, I immediately asked for a refund because I did not want to patronize a business that insults of customers deliberately without a cause. He informed me with an attitude that he would not give me a refund and he was calling the cops. I replied, "go ahead because I'm a law abiding citizen, that's what they get paid to do". When the officer arrived I raised me hand to let him know that it was me that he was looking for so that I could assure him that I was humbling myself and wasnt looking for any type of conflict. Yet, I simply wanted the ice cream issue resolved peacefully. The cop didnt want to discuss it because he said that it was a matter our of his hands. He only came to remove me from the premises. Two other cops arrived just to support the officer because they were in the area. I was so calm, you wouldn't have know there was an issue if the police car lights weren't on. The officers and I laughed a little outside but deep down I was so shocked. Prior to the cops arriving, I asked the employee for the number to corporate. He didnt respond but he did hand me a bag with a number on it. I've filed this issue twice and corporate has yet to hear from this location regarding the matter. By the way, my ice cream melted so I had to throw it away. I felt victimized due to the fact that I gave my money for an item that I did not totally receive, could not indulge in it, and was heinously thrown out without a cause. I would not recommend this location under this management or ownership. The manager told me he was also the owner. I dont believe it but it could...

If I could leave a zero I would. We've ordered from this location multiple times over the year I've lived in Davenport, and EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. multiple things are wrong. I just ordered again hoping that maybe someone with half a brain cell was working today.. That could MAYBE read a simple instruction and complete the simple task of working fast food. (I have 4 years experience during college) But No... They messed up once again.. Ordered 2 blizzards totally different from each other.. They sent 2 of the same, with one only different by adding some strawberry sauce to the top.. CAN YOU IMAGINE?!... The disappointment and sadness of my pregnant wife because EVERY TIME she wants some damn Cheesecake, or specific stuff in her blizzard they aren't there? or we order some food and it never fails something is always missing, wrong, or not even in the ball park of being right... That's pretty messed up.. You guys need to do better, and be better.. Won't be buying from this location...

Staff was friendly, though the guy that took my order was IMPOSSIBLE to hear!! I had to ask him to repeat himself too many times without him adjusting his voice level at all. Also, not a real Dairy Queen. No burgers, no chicken strip baskets, only one option for a kids meal, and I'm pretty sure they didn't even have fries. Huge let down. Was bothered that a hot dog was the only option and we weren't asked if my daughter wanted ketchup, it was just put on her hot dog. Lucky, she was good with that as sometimes she isn't. She also received a LARGE sized soft drink with her CHILD meal. I'd have preferred more food instead of more drink. Was just disappointed with the lack of food options.
