DG Market — Local services in Haines City

The elderly lady with the long hair, wears Gloves and and a mask is always so rude. I really hate when I have to check out in her line. Today she made a rude remark on the items my husband and I purchased. We stocked up on snacks. She asked if we had kids, we said No. She then said " This is enough for a party" Still scanning then she says"Wow"" who is she to judge? She need re-trained on customer service!!!! Thankfully my husband is quick witted and said. " We should have enough for a day or maybe two" Needless to say it will last awhile. But still, to be treated the way we were is highly unacceptable. We have both spent our careers as Customer service managers. This would not be tolerated on my watch. This isn't our first rude encounter with her either, but this one sure...

I Have been shopping at this particular store since the day they first opened. I have never been sorry not once , the staff always treats me with kindness and respect as i do them also. Someone at least once on each visit ask me did i find everything i needed , and at least five times over the years for no reason at all the people in front of me in line payed my bill just because they wanted to show kindness to a complete stranger, they only said pay it forward, do the same for a stranger when you can, i have many times and it really makes you feel good , giving for no reason , because you can, i always try to choose a woman with several children , i feel like i might be helping her in some small way . First time at this location. Was actually quite a ways away from me but my mother wanted to check it out. 45min drive later.... lol. They had a great sale on watermelons however the melons were kinda nasty & definitely not fresh. Soft to the touch & a lot of bruising or bad spots. Which was a big bummer. But we did end up leaving with purchasing a cart full of beverages. Lol sodas, juices had a great sale. The store was very clean and employees were friendly. Will return to also shop at other stores in the plaza, they're in a very good spot but next trip will be better prepared for a shopping day rather than just checking out...
