Absolute disaster! I'll try to keep this short.
We took a $200 winter coat in to have a pocket stitched and the special pocket zipper reattached. This was August. The coat was only about 6 months old as we bought it in January or February. It took 2 months to get it back. That wasn't even the issue. She did say it would take a while due to wedding season being busy and I agreed to wait. But keep reading...
Went to get the coat November 1st. She mistakenly replaced the front main zipper and special front zipper pulley with a basic pulley. The coordinating pulley that went with the two pockets was now gone. The ripped side pocket and detached zipper was completely unchanged and still broken. She tried to somehow blame ME and my 17 year old daughter for her bad note taking saying she only wrote to "fix zipper". We showed her the pocket when dropping it off. I'm like, your lack of notes are not my problem. Plus, it was clear the pocket zipper was visibly broken, not the front zipper! She did agreed to fix the side zipper for no extra charge, but kept saying she was doing me a FAVOR for doing the work for "free". I said, "that is not a favor; you're fixing YOUR mistake!" I then prepaid in cash so my teen could go back and get it if needed, left the coat to be repaired, and went home. Not exactly happy as we now will have mismatched pulleys on a $200 coat that once had matching/coordinating specialty pulleys.
About a 30 minutes later: To be sure she UNDERSTOOD the assignment I ended up calling two times that same day to go over what we discussed doing with the pocket pulleys at this point. On the second call she accused me of "badgering her". Then she called me back for a third call and said she wouldn't fix it because she was afraid I'd give her a bad review. I said no problem and went back to pick it up. Sick of dealing with her at this point. At the shop she was argumentive and kept insisting she had done all these "favors" for me and even tried to blame me for the mistake (like she wasn't shown the damaged pocket or something and she absolutely was!). I asked for my money back and she said I NEVER PAID HER!! I said "my receipt is literally in my car outside!!! At that point she switched course and attempted to bribe me with $60 to not write a bad review. I grabbed the coat and asked again for the $25, which she gave me, refused her bribe, and left.
Later she texted me and made statements about God and blessings. What a hypocrite! I replied with a lengthy text and said to not contact me again.
The woman is disorganized and unwilling to FULLY accept her mistakes. She tried to guilt me and blame me for her mistakes. Then she tried to keep my money by claiming I didn't pay even though I had paid an hour earlier!! Something is off with her. The coat is ruined, so not only did I lose several hours out of my workday, but we also had to purchase a new winter coat!
By the way, I looked at the receipt today and realized it has no business name and no date on it! If you decide to take anything there (which I do not recommend!), get a LEGITIMATE RECEIPT! At least she gave me the $25 back, but had she not I would have...
Read moreThe review below by Kristen is 95% false. The only truth spoken was that I did have her coat for a couple months (having told her that was going to be the case when it was dropped off), I fixed a broken zipper. After admitting that I fixed the wrong BROKEN ZIPPER (the front one) I offered to fix the other broken one at no additional cost. I told her several times you cannot get the original pulley back when replacing a zipper! Ask any tailor. The customer called back saying that she wanted both pockets done so they match. I told her I would do that. That’s 3 zippers now for the price of one. She was still not happy and THREATENED TO LEAVE ME BAD REVIEWS all over the internet. At that point I told her to come pick up her jacket. I not only refunded her $25 but offered to give her $60 (not as a bribe rather to get her to leave me alone finally.) Obviously customers can say whatever they want even if it’s a lie on the internet (just peep her profile and you’ll see the dozens of hateful reviews she leaves for nearly every establishment she visits) but I pride myself as an honest person and I believe my reviews...
Read moreMirjana's tailoring came in clutch for me after some complicated alterations were needed for my bridesmaid dress. We were headed out of state in less than 3 weeks for my sister's wedding and I needed some emergency fixes. Not only was Mirjana's work beautiful and quality, it was done in a short time and the price was fair. I highly recommend...
