Im just surprised who ever is actually in charge of this place doesnt check these coments or cares enough to realize that the manager lady who people complain about on here will eventually lose them thousands. At average i shop at the place 4 to 5 times a month. I cant help it i end up spending arpund 25 to 40 dollars worth of merchandise. So close to 200 dollars a month. Today they wouldnt sell me one book (they didnt price it). So i said ok talk to the manager ill pay 5 bucks for it if i need to. No help no sympatht she just likes to feel like she owns the place. I left my whole lot of things 27 dollars worth today and im never going back why buy all the things i took if i dont plan on shopping there again? (which im sure shes happy about as itll give her a sense of power considering thats the only reason she treats people like that. I dont need to theres a goodwill right next door and other thrift stores in which i pay less for books and where there aren't managers who powertrip and arent actually helpful just anoying.
Interesting to note that she doesn't lose a cent off her paycheck even if she eventually causes 3 or 5 regulars or more from shopping there again. From what i gather from the coment section shes scared off atleast 7 people i wonder how much money collectively shes cost the place and how much shes actually "saved" any simple fool with a basic knowledge of business knows merchandise on the shelf is no good and this woman hogs it like a goblin.
When it comes to pricing id understand if they had inventroy sheets then it would make sense to not be able to reprice. To try and prevent theft? A clay colored pastel takes care of thst issue and a piece of magic eraser gets rid of oily residue. If anything she encourages stealing. But hey its a book right?
That book just cost this store an average of 200 dollars a month and having the stupid useles smoney i do ill gladly spend...
Read moreA cashier didn't let me purchase my items while I was next in line and just began to put my stuff back without my permission and refused to ring me up saying the register was closed even though she had already started scanning my stuff just didn't want to finish. Then threatened me by saying if I didn't leave she would call the cops. On top of that added ,not to ever come again when I did absolutely nothing wrong. I was just trying to purchase my stuff like everybody else. I can't believe the way this associate treated me . I work in retail and have never refused to ring people up. It's my job and we're actually all about good customer service. We like to make customers happy. What a horrible place if they treat others like this. It didn't hurt for her to ring me up , she just wants to feel powerful or something to tell me no. So unprofessional. I donât recommend you visit this place, instead go to any other thrift store to prevent this kind of disrespect. The audacity of this lady acting like she owns the place and kicking me out...
Read moreTL;DR Clean store, lots of items for low prices, cashier was rude.
This was my first time in Haltom Thrift and I was surprised by the fact that the store didn't have a "thrift store odor". This is one of the cleanest thrift stores that I've ever visited, and the selection of clothing and household goods is amazing. I couldn't find any fitting rooms, but they do have restrooms which is more than most stores. As I went to check out, the cashier ELSA was friendly with the woman in front of me, but was cold, terse, and had an unpleasant demeanor. I only had three items, and I helped remove the hangers. After she gave me my receipt, I moved to the side to put away my change, and as the next customer (who had two baskets worth of items) came forward, the cashier ELSA greeted her with smiles and politeness.
I rated this store with 4 stars because the store itself was fantastic. I deducted one star because of the...
