My new stereo works and sounds fantastic, but there were some issues with the installation. When I came in for an estimate on a new head unit and speaker installation in my car I specifically asked if the new head unit would replace the factory unit in the same location or would it be mounted below the factory unit. I was told an adapter piece would be ordered so that the new unit could be installed in the factory location. I proceed with the purchase and installation but when I pick up my car the new head unit is mounted below the factory unit, where I specifically asked and was told it would not be. I also no longer had any way of using my climate controls, so it was very frustrating to see that on a hot summer day nobody that worked on my car realized âhey this customer can no longer use his a/c or even adjust his ventsâ. I brought these obvious concerns to their attention and they took the car back in the shop and within an hour the climate control issues were resolved and I was given a partial discount on the labor charge. I pulled into the parking lot in front of the store. I walked to the back of my SUV to get the player. I turned around towards the store, looked up, and this woman was walking out of the store towards me. She stopped me and said âWhat are dragging in here?â. At first I thought she was a customer leaving the store. I never dreamed it was an employee talking to us that way. She had a disgusted look on her face and was very rude. She never gave me a chance to explain what I wanted. She rudely cut me off. My cousin was with me and attempted to explain what we were wanting to ask about but she also cut her off and said âwe donât mess with those! I do not even have a technician that can help you!â. We were blown away by the treatment we received from her. We never got inside the store. She told us she couldnât help us and she walked back into the store. I could not believe it. Recently I needed to have a car audio system removed and the original audio system for the car reinstalled as my daughter's husband (a Marine) was returning from a 7 month deployment and we wanted to upgrade the audio system in his car before he returned. I had limited time as my daughter lives in NC and I needed to take the system there for installation. Not only did RT Grimm handle the work, they did so 2 days early to allow me to take the system with me in time to have it installed in NC. The woman I spoke to to arrange the service was courteous and helpful. The work that the technicians did was flawless. At the completion of the process I offered a tip for the technicians and they declined and said to thank my son-in-law for his service.
