The employees of this store caused me turmoil when they refused to allow my service dog into the store. The owners got my dog confused with an emotional support animal. I was confronted by the employees who told me that my service animal was not welcome. I contacted the police. During the ordeal my dog sustained burns to his feet from the asphalt he stood on when I was so upset. I was trying to get food to regulate my blood sugar. It was during a heat wave. I was very sick and trying to help myself. There is also a big sign saying no dogs! The employees did not educate themselves of the things they will need to know if they want to run a brick and mortar store themselves. Eventually, after the police officer went into the store to let them know the law. The police officer told me that some of the customers were "afraid" of my dog. My dog is 14 pounds! Submissive as Barney Rubble and thats a laughing stock to say anyone should be afraid of a little dog like that. Either way, regardless of anyone's fear of service dogs, I am by law, allowed to have my service dog with me when I shop. The employees ignorance...
Read moreMy husband and I are thrilled that the market moved to Trindle Road; in Healthy Grocer's former space. Ruthie and her family have done such a great job with their new endeavor. We use to travel to Lititz, York and Biglerville to shop for organic, free range and grass fed items. Shopping at Green Ridge is an experience because everyone is so friendly. They make grocery shopping fun. LOL I would much rather support small businesses than the large stores any day. Here are a few of our favorites: Homemade Butter Pecan ice cream, Gluten Free Cinnamon Donut Holes, Organic Dried Apple Slices, Apple Cinnamon Sausage, Bratwurst, Arrowhead Mills Organic Gluten free flour, Raw Milk, Corn + Soy Free eggs. We enjoyed breakfast this morning at the cafe. Susanna prepared the Very Berry Acai Bowl (best ever) for Dave and I had the Farmer's Breakfast Bowl. Both were delicious and beautifully presented. Thank you Ruthie and family for all your hard work. We appreciate all you do to bring healthy choices to our...
Read moreThis building was formerly the Healthy Grocer which closed in 2020 or 2021. I am so glad Green Ridge has moved in. They have lots of healthy and organic groceries including fresh produce. They make their own nut butters and several other packaged items, like energy bites and granola bars. There is a cafe serving freshly made salads and sandwiches, acai bowls, coffee and tea and a little seating area so you can enjoy on-site. They open early so this would be a great spot for breakfast or lunch. The people are friendly and the prices are reasonable. Stop in and...
