Went here the day after they opened--Im reviewing based on potential of this place bc the owner was amazing!
My daughter and I went about 7pm on the first Friday they were open, took a few minutes to get greeted, but they were busy.
We were seated and noticed how large their menu was! They had a great list of ramune flavors of soda and many other bubble tea, thai tea options. When my daughter tried to order a milk tea the waitress told her they had nothing on the back page (when we were checking out the owner apologized and confirmed they did have everything on there so we will try next time). They also did not have everything available on the menu yet (said they should have all options this Sun. March 1).
We ordered the egg rolls to start vs. Our normal spring rolls and they were good. Flavorful and accompanied by picked vegetable shreds.
I ordered the rare beef pho (Pho Tai) and my daughter ordered the kids chicken pho (Pho Ga). The pho broth itself was darker than traditional broths I've had, but also had much more flavor. There were much more accompaniments in the broth as well as you can see in my pics. Kids Chicken pho resembled traditional chicken noodle soup broth.
One thing to note is this place actually has the crushed chili oil (pictured) which the other 2 major pho restaurants in the area do not! I ask everytime I go and they look at me like I'm nuts. So THANK YOU for finally having this here!
The 5 star rating is due to the genuineness and grace of this owner. You could tell they were working out kinks like any grand opening--I watched him assist customers who's orders had been completely lost in the kitchen, and the guests who were less than nice about the mistake--he brought out some free appetizers and apologized profusely. You could tell he cared so much and wanted everyone to have a great meal and experience.
The restaurant itself is understated and comfortable, plenty of space. I hope they get some music bc it was strangely quiet at times!
We will definitely go back when it is not as new and update this review--please give it a try! Pictures of menu in photos as well as pho...
Read moreEdited 9/27/2022 This place used to be my husband’s and my favorite pho place in town, until we stopped going here for a while. Things changed. The broth was usually good and savory. The bean sprouts were fresh. However, they have been inconsistent with their food. The sliced beef that came in my soup would be too tough and dry. They used to be thin and fresh. It was too rough to chew on so I would pick it out. They stopped serving lime which is essentially part of the cuisine. They said there was a shortage but when we went to other places they served lime. They are slipping in my opinion. My other reason for not dining here as much is because of the lack of cleanliness. But that falls on the owner’s responsibility to be on top of it. I think some attention to the ladies bathroom and wiping down frequently touched surfaces would be good for frequent customers...
Read moreFirst time visiting for dine-in, and everything was delicious. Interior has been nicely redone, just very simple and light inside. Plenty of seating in different areas of the restaurant. Server was very friendly and helpful, ready with suggestions, and even shared with us about how the owner/chef keeps the pho broth so high quality. So nice to be able to learn more, and makes us want to support their business even more. Food came out very quickly. Beef pho was some of the best we have ever had. Also had fantastic spring rolls and a beef noodle stir fry dish, all top notch. Great flavor, not heavy, very refreshing but filling. Best Vietnamese we have had in a while! ...
