First of all the staff was very friendly, and the price on items was very good!
But.. the store was EXTREMELY ghetto.
By that I mean: what kind of clothing store has NO dressing rooms?
Also what is up with stapling bags closed when checking out?
I know the answers to both of those questions of course it's due to thieves, but making a shopping experience unpleasant for your customers that don't steal isn't the answer!
Now you're losing sales because people can't try on clothes, and again the stapling bags shut because you don't want customers walking around after purchases and stuffing their store bags with more clothes, it just comes across as a very poor and again, mad ghetto experience.
In the spirit of fair critique I have a few proposals:
For dressing rooms, have someone on staff dedicated to just running dressing rooms, that way they can check how many items are going into each room, and ENSURE that those staff members solely get to focus on monitoring dress rooms for their shift.
For the whole bags thing, have a store greeter also be responsible for escorting customers out of the store as well after purchase to ensure they aren't walking out with additional items. If customers say they still want to walk around even after purchasing, inform them that the bags containing their purchased goods will have to remain at the front while they continue to shop.
Now this does require having more staff on hand or maybe paying better wages, but I'm sure rainbow with it's hundreds of stores isn't hurting for money and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was in this store with my daughters and one of the workers there who has green dress literally followed me first I was just browsing while my one of my daughters was shopping for a outfit Everytime I looked up she was a rack away from me so I went to discuss some clothing wear with my oldest daughter and then the same woman with green dreds that work there started following me and my oldest daughter around in the store. I never felt so uncomfortable in my life. I get it that they wanna have eye out for shop lifters but I noticed that there were at least 5 store associates working but that one was acting like she was working but literally was watching me and my oldest the whole time. I didn't go around my youngest daughter so that she would start following her too cause I took there to go shopping. She needs to be re trained and let it be known that you don't want to make your costumers to feel uneased and I felt a certain kind of way just totally UNCOMFORTABLE. I will not go to that location anymore cause of how uncomfortable your store associate made me and my daughters feel. So went to another Rainbow location up In New Market in Newport News and finished her shopping. I will make sure everyone I deal with no longer shop at that location as well. Feel free to reach out to me about this matter if you need to cause she should not do that to people or find a better way to keep eye out for shop lifters. I never stolen anything in my life and the way she made us feel is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely horrible customer service. This is 130pm, on August 23rd,2024.
Iām literally standing in the store as we speak and have been at this store for the past 10 minutes.
The Indian woman that stands at the door did not greet me, the two younger Black women working the floor walked past me numerous times and did not offer help. The White female manager stared at me and did not even so much as smile in my direction. Thereās 6 employees on the clock and I have not been assisted 1 time.
Is customer service and support not available during training?
I understand why store fronts are rapidly going out of business and consumers are starting to shop onlineā¦. This is an example. Not to mention the store itself is dirty and crowded.
Iāll take my...
