5.11 — Local services in Harker Heights

Typically when we go shopping my family and I expect regular run of the mill customer service. The typical greeting when you go in, then “let me know if you need help finding anything” and then they trot off to another part of the store almost disappearing into another universe. Today was different. My girlfriend and I went into this location because she needed new work pants. We were immediately greeted and asked if we needed help finding anything. She went off to find the pants she normally wears and buys over when they break down. She noticed they didn’t have the pants she normally gets and went to ask about the pants. The ladies there, Erica and Gina were very friendly, welcoming and more than willing to help my girlfriend find pants. They were knowledgeable in their products, encouraged her to try on different pants to see how they fit, knew the different functionality of the pants and had job based recommendations. They were patient when she became overwhelmed with the different pants and even worked to find pants out of their inventory and other store locations. They assisted in finding pants that fit her body type and the movements she’d be doing for work. And they ensured she got the best bang for her buck. Staff is fantastic and always friendly / helpful when I come in. Everyone is super knowledgeable, and if that person doesn't know they'll find someone who does. As a woman, I was intimidated before first visit; I am a first responder, and didn't know the employees / store culture at the time. But both girls and guy are amazing and super personable. I always spend extra time just to hang out with them while I buy, they really make individuals feel welcome. I've now since dragged my other first responder buddies in here to spend money, when we could've gotten something cheaper somewhere else. This store is just genuinely great with making people feel seen and helped. Especially as a woman, I was able to get great advice and feedback on tactical pants. If you want a store that makes you feel like you are a criminal, this is the store to shop. I thought my first time shopping here and had that feeling from the girls that work here was maybe they were having an off day. Alas, I was completely wrong. I am a business woman that earn an easy 6 figure income, although I do have a lot of tattoos and I don't also dress to the nines, but I am always dressed well in comfy clothes unless I am going to work. Then the girl have a horrible, you can't afford these items why are you in here, attitude asks if I need any help making a purchase? Really? I try to be pleasant but to no avail I give up and give her , her attitude back in the end.
