From the moment I walked through the front door it was warm and inviting. I was immediately greeted by Kim Peteete. I could tell right away I had the right sales professional. I was there to purchase a bedroom set for my second bedroom as well a new living room set and new mattress for my bedroom. I was unsure about exactly what I wanted but she was extremely patient and listened to my wants and needs. She showed me several different bedroom sets as well living room sets. Even though I was unsure what I wanted she listened to what I wanted to do and guided me to the right collections. She was very observant professional and kind and spent time with me to make sure I left confident and happy with my purchases. We ended with a new mattress for my bed and landed on the purple I had a brief encounter with one of the managers Josh who was also excellent. She clearly explained the advantage over a traditional mattress I ended up purchasing the mattress a power adjustable base and even the purple pillows. When we were finished with the paperwork she even took the time to get to know me as a person and why I chose their location. She was extremely patient with me throughout the entire process and showed professionalism on another level. She's a rock star and I feel blessed she was there for me. She never pressured me and made me feel very welcome she made me feel like a person not just another sale like some sales people do. I believe there is a difference between a sales person and a sales professional and she was definitely a sales professional. If you are looking for new furnishings for your home I highly recommend you stop by and visit with her at rooms to go Harker Heights location. She's top notch as is the entire staff. The store is organized and clean and they are knowledgeable which is why I purchase exclusively from their location. Read moreI had a great experience! I spoke with a salesmen named Steven, which was able to answer all of my questions, was very polite and patient. He was even able to price compare with the online store, which had some items listed at a lower price. I ended up ordering a bridgetown 7pc dining room set, which was confirmed to have a hard solid wood top. Also was able to pick a delivery date (wanted to add that because some reviews say they had no idea when the delivery was taking place) and information on how the delivery updates would work.
So far I've gotten the first confirmation of delivery (for the day I picked) with the 4 hour time window.
I will update once the delivery has been made or if there was any changes.
Update 1: 10Dec2019, day of the delivery. Time window was set for 9am to 1pm. I recieved a automated phone call the evening after I made the first review, an email on sunday, and another text message this morning all confirming the delivery day and time. The text including a "tracking service." Which shows all the said information above, plus the crew bringing my stuff, and that I'm stop # 4 and they are on stop #2. (Attached an image). The ETA is saying between 2050 and 2150 on CST.. It's 1230...30 minutes before the end of my time window. Clearly they are not good with scheduling, but I took the whole day off, just in case.
Will update again when (or if) the delivery is made.
Update: 10Dec2019 1330. They arrived! Both individuals were very professional. They put the table together, the chairs were already put together, answered my questions. The table came in fine, and 3 of the chairs, even though wrapped in the packing blankets had some small chips in it, which they took the information down and took photos. Read moreI went into rooms to go wanting to downsize my living room furniture . Browsing was a good experience as they have lots of different furniture to choose from. I felt confident in my decision so I went ahead and ordered a sectional that I thought would best suite my home. Once we got to the payment part I felt really pressured to get some sort of add in for decor that wasn’t really needed and honestly we lost money doing so. Obviously I know the sales associates work off commission, but they added warranties to my sale that was never discussed nor needed. Well fast forward about 72 hours I actually found something I liked more and decided to cancel the order and delivery (delivery wasn’t set until 7 more days from today). I was able to cancel the order and delivery but the store manager refused to refund the $263 I paid at the store for a “restock fee” . I counted my losses on the add in that I was aware was non refundable but this has to be fraudulent to not be refunded the $263. What was being restocked, air ? Especially if nothing was delivered nor set to be delivered until next week, AND I CANCELLED WITHIN 72hours. I can understand if it was 72 hours from delivery date but it wasn’t. None the less I was able to contact corporate and get refunded because I called within a reasonable time but the hassle that the Harker heights location gave me was ridiculous.
