Unfortunately after being a long term customer I will not be returning to Venus Nails. I have went there roughly once every 2-4 weeks for the two years. I have had many many enjoyable experiences here. About a year ago I had to take a break from Venus because one person in particular would grind my nails super thin while taking off my no chip polish. Since my nails would be thin they would break easily and cause a lot of pain. I took a few months away and then decided because I have had good experiences for the most part I would go back. For about 6 months now I have had 0 issues. I have recommended them to a lot of people actually which caused me to book an appointment for my grandmother, my mother, and I for 3 pedicures. We came to our appointment and they got us in right away. We sat down and unfortunately had a bad experience. My mother had her feet grated, but they grated a chunk of skin off and her toe bled for while after even after she was done with her pedicure. My grandmother had a few of her toes bleed from excessive cutting. Now, I understand sometimes ingrown nails can get uncomfortable or bleed, but this was not the case. For e someone who goes there at least once a month had my toes grinded super thin and my no chip globed on. The woman who did my toes happened to be the one who grinded them too short previously as well. She is always very nice, but seemed extremely flustered. Knocked many things over, forgot my hot towel and oil, and had to fix another woman's nails while trying to complete mine. She left the curator on my feet for a long time and must have turned it up because I had to remove my toes from them burning. It was very obvious she was trying to rush through everything. Now a day later I stubbed my toe and did not think much of it, but then noticed from the stub it had split my toe nail into two and was bleeding. My nail is very thin and now easily has broken. I am extremely disappointed because I enjoyed going to Venus, but it is just upsetting with 3 pedicures all of our feet have been hurt. I really hope other have better experiences...
Read moreDO NOT RECOMMEND. I went in for a full set & my mother went in for a pedicure. I was helped by a woman with a “gods not dead” shirt. After getting my first hand back after filing just the tips (no acrylic was applied) I thought they were too short & asked if she could make them longer. She tried to convince me they were fine & then got angry with me when she had to take them off. She put my hands into a sandwich bag with acetone (that proceeded to leak all over her station & my clothing) & walked around the salon for 10 minutes (setting other people up & hiding in the back) until another employee was available to do my nails.. she put new tips on to prepare for the next employee & as she cut them down she asked about length.. then proceeded to say “ARE YOU SURE” very rudely. The rest of my service with the next employee was pleasant until he skipped filing the acrylic that drips underneath your nails… which results in every single nail getting stuck on clothing & in my hair.
My mother also came with and got a pedicure. She opted for the more expensive one to get all the listed features. After leaving she said she was not at all massaged. The only lotion that was included was what I assume was a mask applied to her legs before hot towels. No massage was done or lotion was applied which is really disappointing for a $60 pedicure. All she paid for was hot towels, paraffin & the paint.
All in all it was a huge waste of our money. They rushed us out, did poor service, & were...
