Love, love, love Aldi! Have them back in the UK. Best prices around, generally. Their brand is usually just as good as bigger ones and as they often source from Europe, they can be less full of "questionable" stuff, like high fructose corn syrup and artificial whatevers! I think the prices are creeping up overall, as I seem to be spending more on less, but it still beats buying at the bigger stores. I only buy a few select food and personal items elsewhere. If you haven't tried them, and you're not sure, pick a few basics that you've priced to make sure they're a better deal at Aldi, and try them. They have limited time items too, that can be a fun little splurge and a chance to try something new. They always have an aisle of random, usually seasonal items, that changes, just a heads up though, if you see something you're tempted by, grab it, they are limited stock and usually don't come back. And personally I love their $3 Winking Owl Merlot, (my daughter doesn't, but does like the Cabernet Sauvignon), why pay more if you like...
Read moreA very nice Aldi although I took away one star for the restricted cash rule. Today they took my cash but they restrict by saying - must have exact change or use digital money. This is wrong. The sign blames it on a cash/coin shortage -caused by the federal reserve. Not buying that reason Aldi. Nobody else is restricting it - forcing the digital currency. No, in my eyes cash will always be king. We need to resist this type of manipulation. I like Aldi, but I go to no restriction Woodmans more. I did buy a nice piece of Australian lamb today. 12/21/21 Update, this has never happened before- the rack of lamb was super tough. We ate a small portion. I will be returning the label and receipt for the twice as nice. We often buy this when they have it. It has never been...

The store stays pretty clean throughout the day you might go in there and fine something laying on the floor, but it would be a customer knock it over and the employees haven't been told or they haven't got there yet. The shelves always seemed stock. Everytime I have shopped there I have never asked if something is in the back (unless it's one of the weekly speciality item, and usually they sell fast). I would say for what you spend at aldi would be half of what you would spend at one of the bigger chains(walmart, meijer,...
