Larkin Arts — Local services in Harrisonburg

Larkin is a great place. They have an excellent selection in their store of high quality art supplies. The workers are very friendly and helpful. Larkin also has a hangout area to chill out in whenever they are open, a gallery which is switched out every once in a while and is open to the public, and they have studios in the back where people work (those are also open to the public to take a look see around). Whenever I am in Harrisonburg it is hard to resist the urge to go to Larkin Arts. It is my favorite place to be. Also don't forget to check out their classes including summer for the kids and ongoing classes for adults ranging from beginners...

If you sign up for a workshop for beginners, I recommend that you ask about supplies Larkin has in the classroom that you can use during class, and even borrow for use at home during your enrollment. There may be expenses you can save yourself by asking what will be on hand for use, especially if you're a beginner, and holding off making your purchases until after you know what your project will require. I have been a student at and patron of Larkin Arts for many years now. Since I became part of this community after I loved here permanently after attending and graduating from JMU, I discovered Larkin Arts and feel like it is at the heart of what makes Harriosnburg unique.
