Consigning Women — Local services in Harwich

One star because the clothes are nice. WORST experience ever! I've been going there for years and this was the first time I was treated like trash! My daughter and I are standing by the purses waiting to use the waiting room and a woman behind the counter tells us to just go ahead in, all of a sudden two woman come charging in the dressing room and VERY loudly say two people just came in here without telling us, one woman very aggressively says "ma'am, you cannot just come into our dressing rooms, we need your name" So I then explain to her that we were waiting and someone told us to go in and gave her our names, she then very loudly says "dressing room 3 & 4 needs to be cleaned and sanitized as soon as they leave" . I come out of the dressing room to the look of absolute horror and embarrassment on my daughters face, hand the woman the clothes I don't want and then go to the register with the shirt I did want and while I'm there the woman says "you're supposed to tell someone when you're using the dressing room" ONCE AGAIN I explained to her that someone told me to go in and that she should stop humiliating me in front of other customers, then I just left. This store will NEVER get my money. It's bad enough that this pandemic got us being dehumanized with masks, and barking orders left and right then on top of it being humiliated because someone that works there didn't know the RULES about the dressing rooms....

Was there on Saturday 12th 2025. I soon as I walked in a saw this Beautiful Coffee Table. Table had no price on it. I asked my Boyfriend to ask someone for the price. He asked a women- employee and she told him they had just gotten the table and to give her 20 mins. Maybe 10 mins later she told my BF that the Coffee Table was $55. We told her we'll take it. She told him that the tag will be at the register. We continue to shop for a few other items. A very nice lady rang up our order including the coffee table. We paid and my BF was taking out the coffee table that we paid for and a women - employee came out to the car to tell him that the coffee table was $135.00 NOT $55.00 that we already had paid for. She had him bring back the coffee table in the store and was told that she'll refund the $55.00. (Still no refund in my BF account). This whole situation is so wrong it wasn't our fault that the employee told us and gave an other employee the wrong price-tag. I will NEVER shop at any of the Consigning Women stores ever again. And the only reason I gave it one star was that the lady that rang us up was very nice...

I dropped off 15 items here. I filled out a form. I was told that 1 items could not be taken (one was a brand new bathrobe and another was a summer blouse). I was told that they would call me in two days. They didn’t call. I went back today, and was told that they couldn’t find the brand new items I had dropped off. I dropped off brand new Columbia sweatshirts, and several pairs of brand new jeans. They finally ended up saying that my clothes were donated to “Their own other shop” in Brewster. I got nothing for all 15 items I brought there”. My clothes are now being sold in their Brewster store. This is outrageous, and criminal activity. This store charges a lot for used clothing. The clothes I dropped off were new. Then they donated them to their own other store without contacting me.I would have taken the clothes back, and given them to a place where people would have appreciated them. Harwich Consigning Women’s Shop should be shut down! They took my brand new clothes and donated them to their shop in Brewster! Then put high price tags on them! Rip off, Rip off, Rip off!!! Please do not give them...
