Had wedding hair and makeup done at Hairworx. Glen, the hairstylist, couldn’t have been less professional. He rushed through every girl (it took just over an hour for three of us). One of the bridesmaids had her hair curled and he charged $85 for a very basic curl. The updos were also $85. Even more annoying than the underwhelming hair was his very negative attitude. The whispering about people (even commenting on how “Miss No Personality” who was his next client was about to enter the salon) was completely unprofessional. For a bridal party, he talked a lot about dying and Covid. He even said that he got married 5 years ago and never should, all while we are prepping to get our friend married… I’m giving two stars instead of one because the makeup artist was good. I have known Jeannine 20+ years! I would follow her wherever she is because of her talent and her professionalism ! Her color technique is always spot on, she continuously goes to trade shows and seminars to learn about her craft and new products and stay current. She is extremely dedicated to her clients and their satisfaction. My hair has always been very fine and now thinning, yet everytime I leave her it looks incredible and I always get compliments, that takes skill ! I was excited to get my first perm. I left HIGHLY disappointed. My hair looked like a frizzy mess, literately looked as if I rolled out of bed in the morning and didn’t brush it yet. There was no curl more of a crimp look, got home and my son jaw dropped and he said what happened to your hair? . I ended up taking a curling iron and hairspray to my hair. Waste of money!
