Each time I go into this Stop & Shop the customer service is the absolute worst. I'm a mom shopping for a family of 4 and this is located fairly close to where we live so it's very convenient and we would shop there very frequently seeing the same employees there quite often. However, on a couple of different occasions I've received terrible customer service while shopping with my kids. On one occasion while using self checkout with my kids and my own reusable bags, the older lady who works as support for self checkout after having a personal conversation with one of the other customers, walked around to my checkout, put her glasses to her nose and stared into my cart for a couple of minutes and I asked what was wrong and she asked if I had paid for the bags I was using along with what was in the bags. I was shocked, she has seen me shop there several times before with my kids. I felt extremely disrespected, profiled and degraded. This caused me to not want to go there again for some time, however, during some occasions I would still go there due the convenience from my home. This last time, and this WILL be my LAST TIME, I joined the line for cashier checkout and the young girl at the end of the belt had such an enormous attitude and was very rude to me and my kids. My 2 young children (16 months and 4 years old) have so much more manners and etiquette than this girl they hired in the customer service field, they told her hi several times and she just looked at them as if though she couldn't be bothered and with so much attitude I felt extremely uncomfortable, as we were leaving, they told her bye and again she says absolutely nothing and ignores me as I thanked her for placing our groceries in our bags.
As someone who has worked in the customer service field for 14 years, I find this extremely unsatisfactory and unacceptable. I've worked for different employers and have had many different colleagues and I don't understand how your store consistently has bad customer service with employees who give off a judgmental demeanor along with and attitude as if they can't be bothered. The checkout experience seals the deal if your customer should want to return, it should always be pleasant and courteous, even if the employee hates his/her job, their job is to smile and be polite. Ā Ā Ā Read moreSuper tired of Stop and Shop in East Harwich having nothing... COVID is over. S&S is right up the street but I have to go to Shaw's which is out of the way. I went to S&S in Dennis last week for the 1st time ( I live in Chatham) at least they had the items East Harwich hasn't had in months. So, I can go there, it's just such a hike from Chatham, at that point I should just head to Market basket where everthing is half of the price of S&S, I'm not kidding!! Everything is way less most things a dollar If not more. Egg's omg, BJ's or Trader Joe's $9.00 is ridiculous. Definitely worth the trip.. It would just be nice to have something local that would be reasonable. I don't mean price, I've accepted the prices are ridiculous. I just can no longer accept that they do not have anything in there that we need. You can get half of things meaning I went to go get ice cream I picked up the whipped cream first picked out the cherries they didn't have our brand of ice cream.. nor could I find the flavor we liked in any other brand. Something is going on there, I'm not sure what it is but no longer are there the choices that we used to have at that store yet you can find it every place else just not there . I spoke to the manager She said she didn't know why they didn't have all that stuff either.. said they put in special orders and they still don't get it perhaps they've lost favor with the people they order from I have no idea but I'm done shopping there It's too frustrating. The pharmacy however is great:) I saw Lori Lombardi in there the other day, she is a wonderful person hopefully she can help them straighten it out, I'm so mad I have to leave my Stop and Shop!!!...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYet again, an awful experience at Stop and Shop East Harwich. I truly try not to go there but it's literally a mile and a quarter from my house. So RUDE!!! That man in the deli older gentleman mustache I've complained about him at least four times He refuses to cut anything thin š¤£š¤£ I say thinner he says, " Well that's pretty thin you know" ..yes sir, I know, could I please have it a little thinner..are you kidding me?? It's like the deli guy that's his control.𤣠I'm. Trying to just learn to accept what I get and not what I want but it's really hard when you've grown up being able to have what you want and now all of a sudden it's unobtainable... Talking to someone doesn't matter doesn't work they do not care.. This used to be the best store ever. It's definitely stocked more because it's summer they want to make sure they have the summer people coming in to buy stuff can't wait to see what's going to look like in September again Boy something's really gone bad here.. I walk in the door happy to pick up a couple little things and I leave terribly annoyed and frustrated.. It's the grocery store for god sakes!!. It shouldn't have that big of an impact on someone's life š¤£šŗ they just Suck. Can't wait to see that scripted reply from the owner haha. Do better Stop & Shop You don't need to apologize and say you're going to try to do better It's just lip service Just do better!! Things are going to get tough for the next year or so and you're going to find yourself in trouble cuz no one's going there anymore every time I say something on Facebook there's a million people to say they hate to go to...
