Great crew. Basic trip to see the turtles. Conditions will vary greatly on the day, but dive down or follow a crew member scouting out the view. If you are only a passable swimmer in open water as I am, inflate that vest and float face down near the boat to see the fish without judgment. We took the kiddo along. She is fearless and 9. If your kid is iffy, don't do it. It is not geared for the kids, but if they can hang they are welcome. It's basic and followed by booze so I enjoyed myself. There isn't enough time to switch off younger kids between parents on the boat so they both get a good snorkel. But if you want to sit and watch no biggie. Our Conditions were murky, but hubs saw 2 sets of mama honu with young ones and took the go pro deeper than I go! There are plenty of tours at these trusty turtle locations so there many groups and life guards for each boat. Make sure you get back on the right boat and you are set. Na Hoku doesn't over crowd the catamaran, there was plenty of gear in the sizes needed, but feel free to take your own. They sanitize items as you get out and remove the gear. Grab a drink right out of the water to get your drinks down, you are headed right back to the beach. Didn't try the toilet, but no #2 in those! Take cash to leave a Mahalo for the crew. I can only imagine the cost for keeping her docked near ala moana. No regrets! ...
Read moreLast night, my boyfriend and I embarked on an unforgettable sailboat adventure off the shore of Waikiki, and it was truly the highlight of our trip. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of amazing. The crew's warmth and dedication shone through as they made sure we felt both safe and completely immersed in the fun. Their down-to-earth spirit and genuine aloha created an atmosphere that felt special and authentic.
Even when the rain came later in the evening, the mood didn’t falter. Everyone gathered inside, enjoying a lively bar and great music, which only added to the camaraderie. The views of Waikiki from the water were breathtaking—seeing the city and shoreline from that unique perspective, especially with a gorgeous sunset, was stunning.
This is the perfect outing to share with friends or a significant other. The great vibes stayed with us long after the boat docked, and I only wish I had discovered this experience earlier in my trip so I could have done it more than once. Come for the sunset, stay for the good times. 10/10, highly...
Read moreWe had an absolute blast on the Na Hoku 3 Catamaran 1-hour morning tour in Waikiki! The crew—Captain Jerry, Malia, and Caleb—made the experience unforgettable with their warm, energetic vibes and top-notch hospitality. Captain Jerry was a true pro, steering us smoothly while sharing fun facts about the area with a big smile. Malia and Caleb were fantastic, cracking jokes, checking in on everyone, and keeping the energy high. They made us feel like old friends, not just passengers. The complimentary Mai Tais and Modelo beers were a highlight—perfectly mixed and refreshing, adding a tropical kick to the adventure. If you’re new to catamarans, the ride might feel a bit bumpy at times, but it’s all part of the thrill!
