Atmosphere looked great with very good singer playing on request, we decided to have a drink at this place. Place was rather empty and since there were no seating crew around, we sat ourselves on the table by the stage. No one came to say hi and take orders even though there were two waiters (young guy and old lady) serving people around us and seeing us sitting there without being served. 5min later my boyfriend tried to catch a waiter walking by us. He said “yup” and just passed. 5 more min later, my boyfriend stopped the same waiter again nicely and asked “can we have a waiter?” He said “sure, just a second”. 3 min later, old lady showed up without saying hi and said “what do you want?” And we were like “umm. Can we have a menu??” So she finally brought the menu but never came back to take an order. (While she was serving other tables around us and saw us patiently waiting for her to come back) Finally, my boyfriend said “Do you wanna leave?? Doesn’t seem like no one wants to serve us” and I was 200% on the same page. I have NO idea why we were treated that way. But it was so uncomfortable and beyond disappointing. I wish I had these waiter’s name before we left there but I was too furious. We were planning to stay in Moana Surfrider next year, but that will never happen now because if management allows this type of customer service in their iconic bar, what do you think they will allow for their hotel’s service too. I will stick with Halekurani. I told my friends to be careful with this bar when I came back to japan, and some of them told me that they had similar experiences there as well. So I really hope they humbly take this review and try to improve...

We've been here 3 times now when we have visited Oahu in the last 3 years. Each time, we have only come specifically for their Mai Tais and have had their poke nachos twice. With that said, I highly recommend both and haven't tried anything else.

Why their Mai Tai? They have 3 different kinds to choose from, and they're all solid drinks. We've never been disappointed with their Mai Tai drinks, and it is well worth the price that will deliver you a good buzz and more.

Their 1944 Mai Tai is the least sweet and the most stiff drink. Get this one if you want to get to the point with a drink.

The Moana Mai Tai is the in between with some sweetness that makes it easier to drink. I like this one the most personally because I don't like my drinks too sweet.

Their Moana Sunset Mai Tai is their sweetest drink and would be good for those who likes it more sweet or don't drink as much Mai Tais.

Their poke nachos have always been good when we've gotten it. This is easily shareable between 2-3 people, depending on how hungry you are. I love their wonton chips for these nachos and the poke is fresh. Lots of flavor and easy to eat.

We usually have stumbled upon here while walking along the beach. It's open seating when we've gone for lunch time and it may be hard to grab a table. Service can be a bit slow at times during the busier times.

We've also been here at night and it was quite the vibe with the lights on the banyan tree and live music.

If you're looking for a solid Mai Tai, definitely make a stop here! We will continue to come here whenever...

My wife researched where to eat lunch near our hotel on the beach and found this place. If you are walking on the beach, you will spot it. If you are entering from the street, it looks like you are entering Moana Surfrider and the beach meet is at the back exit.

It's open seating so find a place to sit and your server will be with you before you even get a chance to look at the menus and with ice water for the party which is one of the first things I look for at all restaurants. I don't like when I have to ask for water.

The service is incredibly fast. We ordered our food and it arrived so fast we didn't think the person walking by with the yeah was bringing it for our table. And it's great quality too, so they aren't sacrificing quality for speed.

I really enjoyed the coconut wings we got and my wife loved the polish sausage sandwich. She also really loves her drink and got a second. I don't drink so I can't judge alcoholic drinks but I trust my wife's word for it.

I'd say we will go back but there are so many planes we want to visit, I don't think we will get a chance. But if you are looking for a place to go for a quick bite on the beach with a great view, great service and great food,...

We always visit Hawaii every year from SF and been to lots of places as well I decided today after 18 days here and north shore to visit the beach bay in Moana surf rider! I thought it would be a great experience but it’s very disappointing! First we got to the bar, my husband asked for a beer then I asked for a wine, bartender has an attitude just poured the Chardonnay on a glass without even asking me what kind I want, because we can spend lots! He gave me the wine in a small wine glass that looks so cheap … in fact we are from California and wine are served in a very nice wine glass. You guys are charging so much for a wine and the glass looks like $1 dollar! Service was horrible , bartender rude maybe because we are not light skin.. so we left and went to Roy’s instead and we spend as easy as $350 dollars instead. Really disappointing about your beach bar .. service was so horrible and a glass of wine in a cheap wine glass is NO!!! Not recommended . We rather go to Dukes and spend our money !!! Train your staff at the bar better and do not discriminate!
