I, like two other reviewers, was taken aback and in disbelief at the behavior of the woman tending the store. I walked out and immediately looked this up on Google so I can leave a fair review on the ridiculousness of the situation.
I was buying a decal, which she said was $4. I looked around the store and that was the only thing I wanted, so I handed it to her and had my wallet out, where you can only see my credit cards, and she told me it was $4.20, which I assumed was a credit card charge and not the tax for some reason (my mistake).
I confirmed with her, “I only have credit card.” Which is true because I had literally $2 in my wallet. She made a disgusted snort and looked back down at her laptop, waving me off. I thought that was understandable as a small business and I was making a small purchase, so I walked off.
I was over halfway to the door when she then commanded, “Put that back.” To be fair, I could have asked, “Are you going to ask politely and use please?” But I was 😒 at her tone so I just said, “No,” and kept walking.
Guys and gals, she completely lost it. She maniacally yelled, “Get out! Get out of here! Get out and never come back!” I did the adult thing and didn’t escalate although I wanted to stick out my middle finger. She also scared off another potential customer who was at the door and noped out of there.
If she cannot be polite, she doesn’t deserve to make money off people she’s hostile to 🤷🏻♀️ I hope customers who she’s rude to can find peace quickly after facing so much hostility for simply not acting like she...
Read moreI was walking around town browsing the different shops when I came across this little store. I liked what I saw displayed in the front so I walked inside to browse. The woman inside said hello but nothing else. She sounded irritated but I didn’t think too much about it. After spending about 5-10 minutes I finally asked is she could explain some of the products she was selling and if she could tell me where they were made. She stopped what she was doing, took off her glasses, and demanded to know what I was referring to in particular. She made it sound like I was bothering her and the tone in her voice sounded slightly aggressive. I pointed at a specific object and, instead of answering my questions, she asked “are you going to buy it” and when I said “I don’t know” she responded with “then you have your answer”. How incredibly rude!!! I was very curious about some of her products that she was selling and if she had been kind enough to answer my questions about the stories and meanings behind some of the items, I most definitely would’ve bought them. But it’s clear she only wanted to sell stuff and not talk to anyone and, because of her she attitude, she ended up pushing me away as a customer. I read the previous reviews regarding this odious woman and I’m glad to know that my experience is not...
Read moreThe woman who runs this store is awful. I was there for maybe 5 minutes looking at the bracelets and necklaces to purchase as a souvenir gift for my mother. She rudely turns to me and says I cannot keep trying on the bracelets because my wrist is too fat and I will stretch them out and break them. I’m 130lbs and even if I was larger the audacity of this woman was remarkable…. I left promptly after her remarks even though I was originally planning on making a $50+ purchase with her. Do not give her or this this business your money, there are plenty of locals who are more than kind and deserve the business. Plus her items were wildly overpriced from what I was seeing on the rest of the island during my time there anyway, try the farmers...
