Super 1 Foods - Hayden — Local services in Hayden

Have been shopping here for 20 years despite poor management, always out of regular items, and just plain not having things that most other grocery store have because of location. Today was my last day. I grabbed a cart from outside to use and ALWAYS bring my cart back rain, snow or shine. This time I brought it back to the carts lined up inside by the ice machine. The sweet old Vet guy who is usually very nice stood by me 2 ft away as I was grabbing 6 bags out of the cart to carry to my car. I thought he was being nice waiting for me as my hands were full and was going to take or push my cart the 12 inches into the rest of the carts but he mocked me and said "here I'll do your job for you". as he rolled his eyes and continued "I watch people not push their carts in everday"... I was astonished. The girl at the checkout stand was talking about how she couldn't wait to get out of there and never spoke a word to me. These employees are obviously unhappy but I have never had someone say something like that especially when I go out of my way to not be one of...

I gave it a 3 because it's a Super 1 but as far as quality of personal and prepared food on site it's not close to the Coeur D Alene store on 95 & Kathleen. I was in a hurry and needed a CPL PKG things so I stopped on my way to Old Town. So if your looking for Deli prepared foods like Fryed Chicken or really anything they make there trust me your better off driving to the Kathleen store. On this day the entire parking was cut in half due to resurfacing. Made parking nearly impossible which was expected. The service however was sub par you would think with less shoppers the service would be better? Well I guess the parking had the staff set back worse then the parking. Poor service hence...

I shop often at the Super 1 in Hayden. The employees are very helpful, although they seem to employee very young people. It's nice that the young have an opportunity to gain experience, but they still need to give the older, long term employee the chance to still have a job. Also, I am handicapped and need assistance with their motorized shopping carts. I find that most of the time they are not charged and not available for use. I've had to leave and not shop because of their motorized carts not being available. I've shopped at the Post Falls and Rathdrum stores also and do not have the same problem at those stores.
