After multiple good experiences here I have to say the last couple have not been good and I don't think I will be back after tonight. I made the mistake of choosing this for Valentine's Day and we made the mistake of choosing the special 3 course meal for two for $59. Spent $75 before tip with two non-alcoholic beers and the special the food. It took extremely long time for each serving to come out and it honestly tasted like garbage. I don't know what they're trying to do with their flavors but the appetizer was a tiny tostada that tasted like there was literally cleaning chemicals on it. Then it took a half an hour after that for our main course to come out while we just sat waiting with no update. Main course was a very small portion of tachos with stuff underneath it that tasted like more chemicals, two tacos each and two wings each. My taco had 3 bite sized pieces of Carne asada with fat in the middle. Then we waited another 20+ minutes after eating for our dessert to come out before I went up to the counter to ask about it. Extremely poor service. No one came to bus any of our plates at all or say sorry for the delay, yet they have a tip jar on the counter (and do not say thank you when you put a tip in by the way). No one checked on us at all. If you're going to do a 3 course deal make sure they come out in a timely manner. I'm very sad I ruined our night by choosing this place. Extremely overpriced also and the prices have slowly went up. $10 for chips and guacamole is extreme. Just sad because the one in Spokane was good and we used to like coming here. There's too many good restaurants out there too choose from. I will add that the dessert was actually good. Too bad we had to eat it at home because I was so upset by the end of our meal that we asked...
Read moreWow, what a find. My husband and I were running around today and happened to be in the area for some meetings. I did a quick google search and based on the reviews, style of cuisine and location decided to give it a try. It exceeded our expectations in every way. First, the ambiance is very M appealing. The bar is beautiful and the s. - including the owner and visionary were impeccable. We had delicious margaritas - Cochinito style. SO good and wildly reasonable! I had the Ceviche Style Ahi & Watermelon Tartar. It was seriously so good I could have eaten 3! And not because it was a small portion. The portion size was beyond perfect and what I thought was an egg yolk on top was actually a mango sphere. Seriously, a brilliant take on a traditional Steak Tartar but with Ahi and Watermelon, so no need for egg yolk but the mango sphere was the perfect touch. My husband had 4 tacos. He was stuffed after 3 but couldn’t say no to a 4th; given it was the chefs specialty. The Lamb Merguez. However, he also had the Beef Short Rib Birria and said it was a 12 out of 10! The Lamb a 10 out of 10. He also got the Carnitas and the Carne Asada. He would rank them the Birria 1st, Carne Asada and the Lamb 2nd and the Carnitas amazing but not quite as impressive yet still an A level for sure. We will definitely be going back and bringing our sons and other family...

Ok, I like tacorias. When I’m out of town I like to check the hive mind for a well rated hole in the wall and get their al pastor. I found myself in Hayden and tried an over the plate tacoria on government road. It was fine, but the lengua was mushy and for my money, anyplace worth its salt will crisp up the lengua to add depth of flavor and a little crunch to the texture.
So I was driving away with sad taco mouth, when I saw this joint. I thought, “hey let’s get one more taco and see if we can save this day.”
I walked in and I could tell from the menu that they take great care in the selection of ingredients, and pride in their creativity.
I had the lamb muergez taco and the asada. They sous vide the asada and fire it off to order. The lamb muergez is not something I’d typically see on a taco menu and I was excited to try something unusual.
The food was really lovely. I could tell they take great care with the details (like house made pickles, in season stone fruit salsa, and unusual but delicious hazelnut macha.)
Well, I was able to turn that sad taco mouth upside down.
