I've had it with this place. Every time I come in here to buy something, there's an issue. Whether it's being treated like a criminal and followed around like a thief, being hassled for private information when making a return, customer service is always dry and unfriendly, and there's always some excuse as to why whatever I'm buying is not included with the advertised sales. In the past I tried to return something that was unopened. I had the original receipt and it was only two or three days after the purchase. The manager hassled me and told me they needed my driver's license, address, and phone number to return a $13 sign. Sure is funny that they never needed any of that when I was buying the item. Last week I was followed around like I was shoplifting. I caught the manager peeking at me around the shelving. Today I needed to buy some fabric. I rang the bell and the assistant manager came to the cutting table. She never said hi, hello, how can I help you, nothing. I tried to make a purchase of something that was advertised as being on sale. Of course they always have a reason as to why the particular item you're buying doesn't qualify. As I'm writing this the manager with no people or social skills that I dealt with is peaking out through the window of the entry watching an elderly woman walk to her car as if she stole something. Read moreCustomer service member was trying to run a register, she was very pleasant and a credit to her company. The register credit card reader was faulty for every purchase and apparently had been doing it all day. This was 6 days before Christmas. I felt sorry for her as each credit card ahead of us was not going thru and she had to.apologize to each person. Still she was made to ring up everyone then give them a slip and then they had to line up AGAIN in another register and be checked out. Her manager was grim and i observed her just standing there just looking on telling her she could not close down her register but was not providing help to fix it. It was not helping. I had to directly challenge her as the manager to help her staff member. As I left the store I finally saw her pick up a phone. Up to this she was just standing there. As a manager myself in my org. it made no sense and was wasting customers' time and putting the pressure on the staff person to keep apologizing customers. Making the staff member ring up every customer knowing it wasn't working. In my org that manager would not be working exhibiting that behavior in public and with that lack of initiative and effort. Read moreThis is one of my top 5 favorite stores...BUT if their customer service was even half as impressive as their merchandise, I'm certain this company's profit would at least triple. Today, I'd say there around 25 employees doing inventory. I get that, it has to get counted...but if these 25 not a single person acknowledged my existence as I was shopping for a table...a $230 table. I decided to wait in the one line that was open for checkout behind 11 other customers. I felt so sorry for the flustered clerk who screwed around looking at a schedule trying to find someone who was not on break to help me with this table. I finally told her not to worry about it and that I would come back at a better time since there now were at least 10 customers behind me, quickly growing impatient.
