I can see why they only have 3.9 stars... Panera used to be the best, and worth the price you paid. Not anymore. Over the past year, I visited many times, and every time was a disappointment. Didn't get a spoon with a drive thru order of SOUP; sandwiches are smaller than they used to be; you have to ask for napkins (do they think I'm driving through because I'm going to take my food somewhere where there definitely are napkins?) - oh, but they finally put a sign up saying you have to ask for napkins - good for them!; they're consistently out of the new bowls that they want everyone to try (how can I try it if you're always out of it?) - I still haven't tried the chicken teriyaki bowl, and have tried FOUR times; the lettuce in the salads is usually partially brown, and there's not much to a salad anymore; a full salad is $12 and a half salad is $8 (the math escapes me); when I went in to pick up my last big order, I had to interrupt Panera employees to pay attention to me, the customer (they're too busy gossiping) so I could pick up my large order; and the icing on the cake: I have never used my rewards card (had it since '18), have never been asked if I have a rewards card, and tried to add points just recently, but couldn't do it online. So I went to the Heath store, and they couldn't add my points to my account either because I didn't have an actual receipt. THEY GAVE ME AN 8 1/2 X 11 PRINTOUT, NOT A REGULAR CASH REGISTER RECEIPT, WHEN I PICKED UP THE LAST ORDER, WHICH TOTALED $92.45. So, I went to the corporate website, which does everything in its power to make you resolve your own issue, but my issue wasn't one of the hundreds of FAQs. It's not easy to find a phone number on that site so you can speak with an actual human being. That aside, I finally found the email address to corporate, so I sent an email and got a confirmation number for my issue. That was a month ago. No response. I called today - one month later - and was told I couldn't add the points to my account because I hadn't been using my account, it had expired. BUT, if I go to a store and make TWO purchases, my account would be active again. OR, I could go to the store, make a purchase and swipe my rewards card, and it would automatically be active again. Still, the customer (no) service rep couldn't add the $92.45 to my rewards account. Buh-bye, Panera. Pandemic or no, you've failed way too many...
Read moreA five this time. Great service and food . Last time they forgot tomatoes with the bagel. This is an addition to my review. Last week I ordered to the house Both sandwiches on brioche . One came with an everything bagel instead. Well first it took an hour. During that hour I called and asked if I could add bagels. No I couldn't. So they came and the order was wrong. They came back with a brioche bun which I had to transfer my steak egg and cheese, runny egg, onto instead of a new sandwich. It was very cold and gross by then. Then the next morning I was charged twice on my bank account. Someone was supposed to call me back and didn't. I stopped by today and while placing a 35 dollar order asked for a manager. They said wait a few more days then call. It's been way over a week at this point. I order specifically cinn and French toast bagels so after I pay they do not have these. So I pay 12 dollars for other bagels. I ordered two steak egg cheese on brioche. My guest wanted over hard eggs. Said they don't have them so he got scrambled. Opened the order and his was once again an everything bagel. Ugh. Mine I ate when I got home. Well. Tried to eat. The brioche bun was burnt and I got the old over hard egg. With a huge hair I pulled and pulled from My sandwich. Ugh again. Made my stomach just hurt. I give up on the Heath Panera. What's really sad is my brother worked for Panera for years and even became the regional training manager. The food is so extremely expensive to get the wrong thing 3 out of four times. Over 100 dollars spent to be wholly disappointed. So sad...
Read moreI have been to this Panera before, but never again, and all over 20 cents. I had a late dinner. I ordered Pick 2 - onion soup and Asian chicken salad. The Chicken salad was great, but the onion soup was almost cold. Now comes the rest of the story. As I was leaving I stopped to get a Chocolate Chip Muffie, for dessert. The sign plainly stated, $2.79. When they rang it, it came up $2.99. I commented the sign stated $2.79. The Clerk's comment was, "The signs wrong." No, the advertised price on a sign in plain view, in the middle of the plate of the item, is NOT wrong, at least for that transaction. How many people paid more for that item than it was advertised for. The clerk in this case needs a refresher course in good customer relations. All of this bad will, over 20 cents. I did not pay for the item, and walked out, leaving them to put it back out on the plate, and most likely throw out in just a few minutes, since it was 8 pm at that point. I had just spent $15.00, 30 minutes earlier buying my food. Since I am regularly in that area, and stop for items from time to time, they will loose a lot more than 20 cents. Some people, just should never be involved in...
