Dave's Pawn — Local services in Helena

Best Pawn Shop I've ever been to. Treated me like a valued customer from the second I walked in the door until the second I left. All of the items in the store are tested and a very high quality I would recommend this store to anyone. Was just in last week dealing with a speaker I purchased the man did everything he could to educate me on what I had purchased and help me through the process of hooking it up. Unfortunately the speaker did not pan out in my truck nor did the amp. So Dave's Pawn came through like a shining star again and said no problem it's not working bring it back. I will never go to another pawn shop without checking Dave's first! I guess this is and edit because I can't re review the store. I called on Friday about an item And the gentleman I spoke to said he would be happy to look at it and likely take my item. Drove down Monday and brought the item in only to have an employee who looks like he hadn't showered in a week tell me that he was overriding his employee. Now they would not take the item nor would they even look at it. That tells me that from the 2 years ago that I used to shop at Dave's till now the quality of employee has definitely went down. A business should honour its word whether it was over the phone or any other situation in this business proved otherwise I...

As someone who's originally from Portland Oregon and who was stationed on the East Coast during their time in the Navy, I'm unfortunately used to pawn shops being both predatory and very overpriced.

To my very pleasant surprise, this does not apply to Dave's based on my first trip into the store. The gentleman working the floor was friendly and knowledgeable without being pushy and the tools and guns were priced at very fair rates (really considered buying a .30-30 that was on the wall).

I bought a propane brush burner for $20 that would have cost me at least $40-50 new. The guy working the floor reminded me to keep the receipt and to bring it back in if it didn't work properly for any reason so that they could get me taken care of. I walked away very satisfied with my visit and I'll definitely be popping my head back in occasionally to see what other deals they have on any given week for tools.

I don't know how they compare to other places in town for buying/selling coins, precious metals, and jewelry but they definitely have some good deals on...

Dave’s Pawn is the best pawn shop in town bar none. You never know what kind of item is going to roll through the door and you won’t find a friendlier group of pawn brokers.

The owner is regularly in, hearing from customers and interacting with the community. I have seen him freely give donations to people who had little to Pawn and nothing to eat, because at his core, the owner sees inherent value in everyone who walks through the door.

They have some of the lowest interests rates in town and if you have a problem you can look the owner in the eye and expect him to listen. The shop is small so there are not many items on the floor but It’s not like the other pawn shops in town have extravagant selections either.
