I am writing based off necessity rather than my own experience or biases. My priorities to making this review is solely based off the simplistic value of what is needed, what can be potential, and, how can I alter the purpose and usage of something for another reason? While purchasing things here isn't my hobby, but rather the purpose of lobbying ideally for a presentable portfolio, the materials of Foam (this includes Air Dry Foam Clay), Leather, Fabric, Adhesives, Glass Bottles, Fake Food & Plants, and including the decorative plants seem to truly give me ideas of how I can apply them to my workfield and environment. If I ever desired to find a hobby I would probably look in the future of functional pieces.
Now when it comes to the environment, during COVID-19, I was one of the few customers that walked in and out since 2020; during COVID-19, I literally ignored protocols aside from the mask deal to go outside and purchase things aggressively; I was going through a new stage of life on how to make my work greater than others.
Because of this "small" push I have surpassed most of my competition (local peers) by adding Craft Specialization into my works. As years passed by, new employees and workers came in and out; therefore new personalities and think-tanking comes to take shape and form. What does this mean for me? "I am just here to find my resources, and if I can't find what I need, I'll go to Amazon instead then come back to the Hobby Lobby or even Joann's to compliment the materials from Amazon," so, for me, I feel it is unjust to rate the conditions of workers at this place as people come and go, and if people been there a long time since COVID-19, I will recognize them as being a long-term employee at the Hobby Lobby vs, someone new who has yet learned the ropes.
But that's just me and reading through overall reviews. After all the years making reviews, I learned that you should make reviews that are "stagnant"; prolong as the conditions I feel are still genuine, therefore the rating is still the same regardless if it's a chain. Management based off the 5 years or so has not changed prior to...
Read moreI was given a gift card to Hobby Lobby for Christmas, otherwise I would not give them my business. I do not personally agree with this companies' views. Although their product selection is more than ample and pricing is fair...(I guess, most decor items are overpriced and look cheaply made - imho you could 'DIY' a better version) - the customer service I have experienced at this location on all three visits leaves much to be desired. I came in today, Saturday afternoon around 1pm. There was an employee leaning on a cart in the middle of the entry way, she did not greet any customers entering the store. The store was very busy yet only one check stand open with line around the corner. Finally another checker opened and it was the same employee who was blocking the entry earlier. When paying for my purchase the couple behind me put all of their items on the counter and interrupted my interaction with this employee. I was going to ask her a question, I could not because she gave all of her attention to the customers behind me who could not wait their turn, literally bumping into me. As I paid for my purchase and left this employee (Lisa was the name on my receipt, older woman - short brownish hair) basically said nothing to me, handed me the receipt while continuing to talk to the customers behind me. She couldn't even say "thank you for shopping with us, have a good day" etc. I thought this was so RUDE of her I will personally not waste my time or money here again (and I spend a lot of money on crafts and DIY). I much rather go to Jo~Ann's where they are always helpful and personable with the same or better pricing. Work on your customer service...
Read moreHobby Lobby use to be one of my favorite stores to show in, but now I have different feelings for their Morman store in Hemet! I left a Bath and Body bag in their fabric dept. to have some fabric cut and forgot to pick up my bag and Callig back the next day Management is saying they can zone in with security cameras to what you purchased and what is in your hands but saying there are no cameras in the fabric dept. Which I disagree and find it very hard to believe!! They just don't want to own up to their employee stealing my bag and making their employee giving it back to me. I think they should fire that employee for stealing from a customer and not taking it to Lost prevention for the customer to come back and claim their items. I called them first thing in the morning next day. The store was closing and I was trying to hurry and sat my bag down to hold the fabric with one hand due my other hand in a wrist band. All I can say is that I won't be shopping this store again!!! Even...
