So the employees were fabulous! Very friendly, outgoing, and smiling. The good was awesome!!! We used to live on Oahu so I'm familiar with good Hawiian grub. I was disappointed in that they didn't have Lau lau or Loco Moco but in all reality I'm not how cost effective it would be to serve those in this setting, so I won't hold it against them, lol. Seriously though, while we were eating I had the feeling I could walk out the door, cross the street and be on Waianae beach (There was a stand across the street from the beach in Waianae that served plate lunch most days of the week). The food was that good. It literally made me feel like I was there again. They had musibi which is like something we had all the time, my daughter was even served it for lunch at school there, lol. I cant rave enough about the food. The bbq mixed plate lunch was great, the ribs and chicken were spot on, perfectly marinated and cooked, not even a little dry. The mac salad (yes mac, not macaroni, itsdifferent, not sure why but it is) is fantastic, we devoured it. The rice was perfect, like seriously, my oldest daughter had to have an additional serving because she just loves it. Price wise, it's a little more than expected, but SO worth it. It was $11 for the mixed BBQ plate lunch, that included three meats (chicken, beef, and rib), two scoops rice and mac salad, on a bed of cabbage. There was enough food to feed 2 of my daughters and myself with some leftovers. Of course we also got 2 servings of musibi, an additional serving of rice, and a small drink, for $25. So the price was a surprise, but you get a LOT of food in your plate lunch so it was more tha worth it!! Seriously this is my new favorite place in Hemet. (I'm not island born but island girl through and through) I highly recommend this place. If you want a taste of Hawaii, or want to reminesce about a trip there, eat at this restaurant. I wish I'd have gotten the names of the ladies working today because they too, were...
Read moreWe absolutely adore Ono Hawaiian BBQ and were so impressed with their food and service that we chose to cater our son's first birthday party with their delicious offerings. The staff at Ono Hawaiian BBQ consistently go above and beyond to ensure a fantastic dining experience, and we must give a special shoutout to Andrea for her exceptional assistance and friendly demeanor.
The food at Ono Hawaiian BBQ is simply delectable. We recently took advantage of their Buy One Get One (BOGO) Mele Mele Chicken promotion, which ran until April 30th, and found ourselves returning daily to enjoy the mouthwatering dish. The team at Ono Hawaiian BBQ pays great attention to detail and is excellent at following specific instructions, always delivering our food cooked just the way we like it.
The macaroni salad is a must-try, bursting with flavor and the perfect accompaniment to any meal. Don't miss out on their scrumptious Spam musubi, which has quickly become one of our all-time favorite dishes. Other standout menu items include the crispy Katsu and the sumptuous seafood platter.
What truly sets Ono Hawaiian BBQ apart, however, is their generous portion sizes. They serve up large plates, often leaving us with enough leftovers for a second meal. We sincerely hope that they continue to maintain these hefty portions, as it is one of the many reasons we keep coming back for more.
In summary, Ono Hawaiian BBQ is a fantastic dining option that consistently delivers great food, exceptional service, and ample portion sizes. By continuing to maintain their current high standards, they will undoubtedly attract and retain a loyal customer base. We wholeheartedly recommend Ono Hawaiian BBQ for anyone seeking a delicious and...
Read moreIn case you don't feel like reading, amazing location, great food, great service, high price, but large portions, wait times can fluctuate however (10-35 minutes) (place online or call-ahead!), but a great location nonetheless.
Right off the bat! Food is amazing, my must-try favorites is the Katsu Chicken as well as the Island Fire Chicken, Macaroni Salad is the staple side there and must be respected (even for someone that doesn't like tuna, I love the macaroni salad). Pricing may seem a bit steep however this is quickly counteracted with the large portions of meat that are given, additionally everything is cooked properly there is no surprise that the cooks have experience and know what they are doing.
As for customer service, staff is more than friendly, they are quick minded and accomadate for virtually everything in a rapid pace, they make sure everything that I need is included in my bag, and if I need something else they are quick to help! One issue with Ono Hawaiian in general however is the wait time, the food is cooked to order, however during busy times, a wait time can extend from 15-20 to easily 30-35, so be aware of this, but the food makes up for the wait.
Additionally, staff is on it when maintaining the store, all is clean and prepared, and rarely will I walk into the store which is dirty to much of an extent, for all that this location has, this easily rewards it a 5 star review, and for anyone willing to try it, go for it, there is something...
