The S-MALL! It’s been a while since I’ve visited this mall as it’s just so sad for me to enter and find so many barren stores and lonely halls. These pictures were taken on a Saturday and the attendance here was abysmal. Hemet Valley Mall is a reminder of how city officials have failed the citizens of this town and refuse to bring in and support new businesses. The city said they would put a second story, never happened. They also said they’d build a new iteration of this mall a couple miles away, never happened. Here we are years later and nothing has improved nor happened.
It’s a damn shame that this mall was remodeled as some of the last surviving businesses NEED support but the city is not given these hard workers the time of day. The main businesses that are popping are Hobby Lobby, Magic Brow, Hot Topic, and JCPenney, that’s it. Yes, not even Claire’s is bringing people in. Years ago, when people still had hope in expanding or getting a “new mall” this mall was pretty busy… not anymore.
It’s depressing coming in here and the fact that malls are on their way out in certain parts of America, doesn’t help this awful situation. I will never totally hate on this mall as I’ve had good times during community college here and it’s super clean. The restrooms here are a lifesaver! If you’re in Hemet I will not discourage coming as there’s businesses to be supported. However, I want to be honest with you about the current climate of this mall. Oh and you can find good deals...

I was asked by a Security Officer to take off my Uniform Security Shirt because only their Security Shirts could be visible in the Mall. I'm a Retired Veteran, did 2 Tours in Iraq, have had my Guard since 1986 (32 years), and I'm on a lunch break and going Quick Fix Jewelers to fix my wife's jewelery. I spoke to the Head Manager of the mall and explained to her what happened and she was speechless. She gave me the number to the Captain who I assume was the Post Commander. I spoke to him for a minute cordially but his explanation to me was like 2 Rams locking horns! I will continue to do business at the Hemet Mall with Quick Fix and having lunch with my wife occasionally who works at the mall and my Uniform Shirt with my Stripes on it will continue to stay on! I've done nothing wrong and have nothing to say to any of the Security Officers there. You guys got a lot more on your plate to worry about that's going on around that mall than waste your time confronting a Declarated War Veteran who's just doing business with people I know. "2nd ARMORED DIVISION:...
Read moreFor whatever reason, Google keeps flagging this as Hemet Mall as opposed to Samurai Sushi which is where my family and I actually go when this location pops on my local guide contribution app. Samurai is great and I recommend it to anyone, regardless of if you have kids or not. There ia something for everyone. The kids meals are excellent and filling and our children are all human garbage disposals! Excellent quality food, service, and competitive pricing. If you can, I very highly recommend dining on nights Yuna works, try to be seated in her area even if you have to request it. Been dining here for five years and have never had better service than she provides. Especially if you have young ones (we have three between six and nine). She is very cordial qnd patient with children. For solo visitors, I recommend the bar. You get to see the art up close and personal and not only that, you get this excellent salad while you wait there. Definitely try this Samurai Sushi, you won't...
