I’ve been a customer of Tactical Outfitters for a while because their patch designs are some of the best out there, with an incredible variety to choose from. However, I’m at my wit’s end with their lack of professionalism. Once again, I’m approaching two months since my last order, and I’ve received no updates or communication.
After waiting a month, I emailed them and was told an item was out of stock—despite the fact that I never order anything marked as out of stock. That response felt like a poor excuse and showed a lack of professionalism. Now, pushing another month later, I’ve followed up again because, unsurprisingly, I still haven’t received my order. This time, my email has gone completely unanswered.
This isn’t my first time dealing with their poor shipping practices, but this experience has shown it’s their best practice and standards. They often blame shipping delays on out-of-stock items, but that excuse doesn’t hold up when I specifically make sure to order only in-stock items to avoid delays. At this point, excuses don’t matter. A simple email update would go a long way in reducing customer frustration, but communication clearly isn’t a priority for them.
Under the previous owners, I never had these issues. It’s disappointing to see such a great brand decline so drastically due to poor customer service and a lack of attention to fulfilling orders in a timely manner. I really hope the new owners can turn things around, but as of now, I’ve lost all confidence in this company. If you need your items quickly, I’d suggest going directly to their location—assuming you live close. Their customer service isn’t much to rely on, but at least they seem to prioritize collecting your money over ensuring you actually...
Read moreReally creative and what appear to be high quality designs. I’m not sure of the quality, because I’ve been waiting almost 2 months for my order to ship.
Stock issues are a problem for many businesses right now, not their fault. But what is absolutely in their control is customer service, and that is where they are abysmal.
After not seeing my order for a few weeks I email them, get no response.. I email them again, through Route (their shipping / tracking app, It takes 2 weeks to even get a response. Then another week for a followup..
Apparently one of the items in my order was backordered, no big deal. They say right in their FAQ, that if an item is backordered it could add 3 weeks. Ok, not urgent 3 weeks is no big deal.
Well, now we are at 8+ weeks. And no further...
Read moreUpdate: I was able to cancel my order order really fast actually. Because I spent close to $120 on patches from 5 different websites today, i neglected to mention their awesome Military Discount. Sometimes problems are simply user error. Maybe I'll try them in the future, as they do have exclusive patches you simply cannot find anywhere else.
Ordered 2 items and recieved a confirmation in my email. After reviewing my confirmation, I noticed mouse type underneath one of the items I order, saying it was Backordered. I wouldn't have ordered if the ProveSource pop ups weren't blocking the backorder notice. Out of everything on my receipt, "Backorder" is the tiniest type and easily overlooked. Dont overlook this and try to blame the seller. You will look dumb and feel...
