Disappointed in Portion Size...Not Worth the Price! I really wanted to like this place. The flavor was okay, but the portion size was unacceptable, especially for the price. My wife picked up food for our family on Friday and paid $18 for the shrimp fried rice. When she brought it home, we actually measured it. The entire portion was just 10 ounces, barely 1 cup and 2 ounces of rice. That breaks down to $1.80 per ounce, or $14.40 per cup. And there were only 4 or 5 shrimp total. To make matters worse, the to-go container can easily hold four times that amount, what we've regularly received from other restaurants for less. You can literally see the bottom of the container through the rice. I’m posting photos so you can see exactly what we were given. My wife, who is not a confrontational person, politely asked about the portion size. The man responded, “It’s a lot, the bowl is big.” That response was dismissive and inaccurate. It was not a lot, not by any reasonable standard, and frankly, not even an appropriate portion size for a restaurant meal. I’m a doctor, and we host Food Fridays where we bring in food to support local businesses. We also have several major events coming up that require catering. I was strongly considering using this restaurant, but after this experience, that will not happen. What’s especially disappointing is that I was referred here by another Asian coworker who said the portions were generous. My wife is not Asian, but I am, and honestly, I can’t shake the feeling that this may have played a role in how she was treated. That makes this experience even more disheartening. We were ready to support this place. They’ve now lost our business for good. If you want good food and fair value, take the short drive to Beaumont. You’ll get a better experience all around. Are family will never come back to this restraunt for takeout or anything. We got shrimp chow mein not flavored, very little shrimp at all, almost little to no noodles and the box filled with veggies that took up the entirety of the container. The Pad-Thai that we also paid extra for combination came with very small pieces of meat, 2 pieces of shrimp, 2 pieces of chicken and 2 pieces of beef, and small was an understatement. We ordered they didn't take a name told us 10 to 15 min before it would be ready so we left our house after 15 min arrived 10 minutes later and they came out and started scrambling because they hadn't come anywhere close to finishing or starting our food. We were told to wait another 5 to 10 minutes we were ok with that no prices posted anywhere so for those two containers and 4 small egg rolls 50.03 was charged then the guy taking the money said oh the card machine is broken and kept swipping the card over and over hopefully our account will be ok in the morning. We called to complain about our order that was tied shut at the store so we couldn't check. That was a mistake. We should have ripped it open to check . But the guy continue to tell us over the phone that they use just veggies when making shrimp with egg noodles but had no answer for little noodles or any seasoning. He refused to acknowledge that anything was wrong with any of it. Even after we have pictures of it, we stated we will not return after the service and food being far from sub-par. Hemet has very few good Asian cuisine restraunts. Any of them with a C rating would be a better option than this shop.

More Pho adventures but this time in lovely Hemet, CA. To paraphrase a line in a John Denver song "I spent a week one day in Hemet". Pho House is located off Florida in the Target Shopping Center. The restaurant itself is fairly large with plenty of seating. However, on this visit we were the only ones dining in the dining room. The layout is quirky and you will find strange things normally not found in the area people dine. Not to be alarmed as this reviewer found the establishment to be clean although a bit cluttered. Service was average at best which is concerning since we were the only ones dining. For lunch we ordered our traditional shrimp spring rolls and a bowl of chicken pho. To drink we opted for ice water from the tap. Food arrives fairly quickly but the pho came before the spring rolls. That is equivalent to receiving your entree before your appetizer. Pho is good but not great. Spring rolls were wrapped sloppy but tasted good as did the accompanying peanut sauce. Price was on point with other Vietnamese restaurants with soup priced at $15 a bowl and 2 spring rolls for $7. To sum this review up, my wife said "the food is good but not worth making another drive up here".

Tried this place yesterday. Walked in yesterday to place a to go order. I ordered the shrimp spring rolls and a vermicelli bowl. Front he minute I walked in the guy seemed annoyed. I asked if I can order to go he then pointed to the menus at the register. I proceed to look the the menu and ask if they have vermicelli bowls as this is my first time here, he once again nodded yesterday & pointed. At this point in order my food and pay. As I'm paying he snatches my card, swipes it, slams it down .. then slams the receiptso I can sign and snatches it when I'm done. Now I'm waiting for the order. He said 10 mins. 2 other families walk in to dine in. Well, why did they receive all their food before I did? I'm talking at least 7 people. I then wait another 10 mins, which he then comes out with my food places it on the counter and walks away.

As for the food. I paid almost $30 for spring rolls and vermicelli bowl.

The shrimp spring rolls has literally 1 shrimp sliced in half in each spring roll. No bean sprouts or any of the good stuff . Just a bunch of lettuce.. barely any noodles , 1 piece of very dry meat and 1 shrimp . When unwrapped it all fell apart due to being stuck to the plastic wrap

The vermicelli bowl seemed decent until I opened it. $17 for 3 shrimp and a few pieces of pork that where mainly fatty pieces and very thin at that.

Very disappointed.

The nicest thing about this place is the inside of...
