Let me preface this review by saying that I've been a loyal customer of Levin's for many years. I've purchased 2 leather living room sets, computer desk, bedroom set, 2 coffee tables and numerous end tables. Each and every single time Levin's has been great to deal with and made me feel like a valued customer. As a result I've been loyal to the brand and always considered them first when making any type of furniture purchase.
I recently went to Levin's to purchase a recliner. After scoping out the selections, I found the perfect chair in the clearance center. I spoke to the salesperson (Donald Fleming) about delivery and setup which he said wasn't possible (via Levin's) since this was a clearance item, but offered to put me in touch with a 3rd party (located in Mount pleasant) to handle delivery/setup for a fee. Since he wasn't sure of the cost involved, he agreed to put a temporary hold on the chair until he heard back. After Donald spoke to the 3rd party delivery agent I was informed that they did not want to deliver to Monessen and I would have to find a alternative means to pick up the chair. I expressed that I still wanted the chair and would have a solution (to pick up the chair) the following day. I asked if someone would be able to help me load the chair and was told he would find out and get back to me. The following day Donald called and told me the chair was sold to someone else. He seemed very unapologetic and insincere about how/why it happened. This was after I took the time to line up a friend to help me load/unload the chair that day. (For reference this all transpired between Saturday evening into Monday morning)
I'm very disappointed with the way the salesperson handled this transaction and will no longer be patronizing Levin's furniture. I guess it's all about commissions and cut throat business tactics rather than accommodating...
Read moreVery mixed experience. Initially, it was great when we visited the store in August. Attentive service, good communication and probably 75% of our furniture arrived and was great. A few weeks later, we hadn't heard anything about the remaining pieces so I got in touch with Jessica, the sales associate who helped us. Delivery was eventually scheduled and we got all the remaining pieces except for two nightstands. Now, they don't answer the phone or return messages so that we can get the nightstands that we paid for nearly 3 months ago. We got hold of someone at corporate Levin who said they are in stock and that they would get the Greensburg store to call us to try and get it to us before Thanksgiving. Since then, nothing from Greensburg and multiple emails to the sales associate have been ignored. It is totally unacceptable that we have to chase up furniture ourselves - they should have contacted us for delivery when it was available. We spent around $20,000 in this store and the furniture itself is great. But the "customer service" is atrocious - I have no idea how we'll get what we paid for when we can't get hold of anyone on the phone or via email. Unless what you want is in stock and available for delivery, stay away because it will take way too much effort to get what they happily took your money for.
If they don't return calls soon then we'll have no choice but to dispute the charge with the credit...

**update: I should've waited for couch that I bought to be delivered before giving 5 stars. The quality of the couch in the store is not what I received. My couch came with staples hanging out all along seams and ottoman totally collapsed. 8 months in and zippers on cushions are randomly splitting. The company and customer service has been extremely rude and have refused to do anything to compensate for all of the work Ive had to miss to have tech over repeatedly, beyond refunding my delivery fee. Ive gone through multiple avenues, they do not care about customer satisfaction. The tech will be returning for third time to finally replace entire core of collapsed ottoman after first building it up and making it lumpy with wood. They are sending new sleeves for cushion that have splitting zipper, but I will have to wait another 6 weeks or so. Im 8 months in and still have a couch that frankly, looks used!!! Youre better off going to big lots value wise. I wanted to love this couch but for $4,000 including the warranty that I was talked into buying, I cant believe the hell I’ve gone through to feel so unheard. Higher price does not equal quality anymore and obviously Levin is not the same anymore since switching ownership. My advice?...
