So Chris, the owner of this company tried to rip off my sick father who has dementia…. He offered him $150 service and because my dad asked him to bring him to the bank(he can no longer drive, and I was at work unaware of all of this) he doubled the price to $300 for driving him to the bank.
Please be aware that in April, my dad tried to call Chris to “fix” his computer. I’ve had to restrict access to my dads banking due to situations like this and him being incapable of paying bills and claiming he was going to spend every last dime so my dad thought his laptop was broken.
Unbeknownst to him or my dad, I happen to get notifications on my phone that he was assisting my dad with changing the passwords to bank account and I had to leave work early to go straight to the bank and fix everything. We happen to meet at the bank where he was trying to take advantage of my father for that extra $150.00.
I’m afraid this man has access to our bank accounts now and I have to deal with all that and lose more money taking time off work. Apparently, he ended up not taking the money after I was in the picture because he knew what he was doing was wrong…. He claimed to be a “nice guy” but if I didn’t show up, he would’ve stolen $150 of not more off of an elderly man with dementia.. because that’s what nice guys do right? He said he works with a lot of elderly clients so I’m afraid for others out there. His “nice guy” antics continued prior to not charging as he tried to “lower” the price to $250.00. Mind you he didn’t HAVE to bring my dad to the bank.. he CHOSE to!! He knew not to make an appointment with him. My father has seizures and diabetes as well, if my dad was hurt while in his car he could’ve been fully liable.
It’s not slander if it’s true and I have no reason to lie, don’t ever use this company. He has zero respect for caretakers. He told me during all this, “technically he’s my client, you’re not my client.” I tried to show him I’m POA and told me he doesn’t need to see that but still proceeded to mess all of...
Read moreMy laptop inexplicably died and it gave no clues as to what was wrong with it, it was a great device so I didn't want to give up on it so I contacted 10 Star Computers and received a very prompt response from Chris.
I explained my problem and was told what the cost would be to resurrect my laptop, if it couldn't be fixed there would be no charge, I had absolutely nothing to lose so dropped my laptop off. The same day I was told that my laptop was fixed and thoroughly updated with drivers etc and the cooling fan had been cleaned too.
I just picked up my laptop and it is working like new, I am absolutely delighted.
To be honest, I was a little anxious about how things would work out but I had no reason to be, Chris who I dealt with, was as good as his word and keep me informed about progress, etc.
Overall my dead laptop is now working like it did the day that I bought it, Chris's prices were very reasonable, and his work quality and service level were exceptional. I wasn't asked to write this review and I am not getting a deal or a discount for writing it. I am writing this review because there are a lot of questionable service providers out there, but Chris is certainly not one of them.
If you want excellent quality of service at a very fair price, and want to deal with someone who does exactly what he says he will do, you will not go wrong with 10 Star Computers, Chris will be my first stop for any further computer related needs, I cannot imagine anyone matching the quality of service that I received from Chris and I have no hesitation in giving my recommendation to this outstanding...
Read moreI have nothing but GREAT things to say about Chris and 10 Star Computers!! If anything, I wish I can give them 10 Stars! So the day before Christmas eve I got a new pc, and guess what it started blue screen of death on me. I tried everything I could do on on my side to resolve the issue from google researching to asking friends for help. Of course, nothing worked. I went on Angies List to find a local tech to help and get quotes. As all computer shops I shopped around for couldn't get to my pc till after Christmas and the weekend. Anyways, once I submitted my request, within 5 minutes Chris called me and said he can work on it. So on Christmas eve, I dropped off the pc to Chris early afternoon, and by late evening (yes he worked on it all day) he got it fixed and solved the blue screen problem. I was thrilled and what a blessing Chris has been in getting this done, literally a Christmas miracle. Not only Chris was professional from the very beginning to the very end, but he kept me appraised every step of the way on what he was doing, telling me the problem, how he fixed it, and priced everything on the invoice black and white. Chris will be my go to person now for all my pc needs from builds to fixes.
