Anytime Fitness — Local services in Henderson

I’ve been a member at the Henderson Anytime Fitness for a while now, and overall, I do like the gym. It’s quiet, relatively private, and clean—definitely a peaceful place to work out without the usual crowd. The equipment is well-maintained, and you can tell a lot of effort goes into keeping the gym in good shape. Unlike other gyms in the area, the machines here aren’t worn out, and I really appreciate the attention to detail when it comes to maintenance.

That being said, my recent experience with a billing issue left a lot to be desired. I had a situation where I was being charged even though the gym had been closed for a period of time, and I was hoping to get a refund for those charges. I spoke with the manager and a trainer, and while they were both kind and professional, they weren’t able to help with the issue. They explained that, because Anytime Fitness is a large corporation, they couldn’t handle billing requests like mine at the local level.

Following their advice, I contacted corporate directly. However, when I called, I was greeted by a recorded message saying, "billing issues should be addressed at your home gym." This was confusing since the local staff had already told me they couldn’t assist. After a bit of back and forth, corporate resolved my issue in less than five minutes, which made me wonder why it was so difficult to get this handled at the local level. It felt like I was getting the runaround, and it was frustrating that the very people I signed my contract with couldn’t help me with such a simple request.

While I appreciate that corporate ultimately resolved the matter, the whole experience left me uneasy. There seems to be a disconnect between the local gym and corporate on how to handle these types of issues, which made something relatively simple turn into an unnecessarily complicated situation.

Overall, I still enjoy working out at this gym—it’s a great facility. But I do hope the staff here can get better clarity on what they can and can’t resolve, particularly when it comes to billing issues. A little more transparency and better communication could really improve the...

Cleanest gym I've ever visited. I love the atmosphere, the equipment is very nice - and it's not crowded like the sports clubs are! It's genuinely people there to work out and go home. You don't have to wait for people to stop standing around and hogging equipment because they are finishing their conversation... it's a very awesome gym. Great rates as well! The owner takes insane amounts of pride in this gym and it shows. Signed a 2 year contract without hesitation. :)

Update 2 years later - My opinion is still the same. I've been a member of gyms my entire adult life and Jack will remain my most favorite owner to date. I had to cancel my membership due to my pup needing 24/7 care as a seizure sufferer.. and not only did Jack not make me feel bad for needing to cancel (I ended up building a gym at my house for my situation) he told me they make exceptions for certain situations! So no matter what you're going through in life, if the gym is your passion - hit Jack up! If it's something they can help you overcome, I'm certain they will help out! I cannot rave on this gym enough. He even went out of his way when there was a small mixup with my cancelation that he 100% didn't have to do. I just moved back to Vegas recently, and when I was having trouble with my membership/key fob from my previous AF, the owner here Jack went completely out of his way to help get me sorted out not once but twice. He picks up the phone when you call, knows all of his members by name, and just clearly really cares about his gym and the community there.

I have been an avid gym-goer for 14 or 15 years and an AF member for about a year now, and I can say with complete honesty that this is one of the best gyms I've ever been to (and I've been to a lot). Perfect size, not Costco-massive like 24HF/LVAC/Gold's, but still bigger than all the other AF locations I've been to so far, and also big enough that a good number of people can be in there and actually get stuff done without tripping all over each other.

Great selection of equipment, super clean and in great shape (including my favorite prone hamstring curl and seated handleless rear delt machines)! Multiple power racks! People actually keep the free weights and plates organized!

Man, it's honestly been a long time since I've been this excited about going to the gym. 4.8 stars after 214 other reviews? So happy to have this place as my new home club. Would give it six...
