We were seated quickly in a booth as requested. Bread was delivered to our table. We decided what we wanted to order and waited. Service staff walked pass our table. No one ever stopped. We decided to give staff a que by closing our menus stacking them neatly on the table. Still no one stopped. We only had bread. No drinks. Finally we had to stop a server to ask who was out waiter. He said he would get him then we waited more. We saw several staff look at our table before someone finally came to take our order. We finally got our order in. Then the manager comes to our table saying that we asked to speak with her. We told her no as we never said anything. She then went on to acknowledge what happened, apologized, and offered a free dessert for our troubles. Pizza was tasty as always, hot and fresh. But it was very upsetting to see the server assigned to our section promptly serve all the other guests yet clearly neglected our table. Although we had a good experience after our initial set back, i cannot say with full confidence that i will return to that location again. This was our 3rd time there over the years. Im sure we can find better pizza places closer to our home. Restaurant was clean. Food was fresh. But service is most important to us...they receive a D grade. First impressions last...
Read moreI changed my review from good to bad because we went in last night for dinner and had very rude service. The hostess slammed the menus on the table and walked away with a rude and very immature attitude after we asked to be sat in a booth. I brought it up to our server, but they found a way to make a joke out of it and laugh about it between the servers. You guys have a very weak and poor attitude when it comes to customer service. Everyone looks like they're in a bad mood in this place. Service and food has changed a lot from good to worse. The food wasn't that good either. Pizza didn't have ingredients evenly spaced out. I specifically asked server to make sure there was onion on my pizza. She didn't pay attention and pizza hardly had onions on it. I still tipped her good because I actually felt sorry for her lack of experience. I don't think we're going to come back after that type of treatment. Good job in making our dinner not so good Metro!! Management needs to train their employees with respect and proper customer service. Very disappointed in the place we used to...
Read moreIt was our first time going and will be our last. We tried an Eastside pizza, the Spring Street. It was extremely bland. There was fresh basil on top and that at least gave it some flavor. Perhaps the more traditional pizzas are more savory. It was the end of a long week, we were hungry so we ate it without complaining. No one twisted our arm to pick that pizza, that was our fault.
So now we are disappointed but almost done with our meal when our server checks on us and says she would bring us drink refills and a pitcher of water. She never returned, after ten minutes we flagged someone else who was available. She came by after that saying "Sorry, I got totally distracted." I get it. It happens, it was just the cherry topper to our disappointing experience. We should have stayed home.
The ambiance is pleasant, but the smell of burnt pizza crust hits you when you walk in, not the worst smell in the world but not the most...
