Disclaimer: This is my personal experience. I always believe in giving businesses the opportunity to make things right. If something’s off, speak up. Most places genuinely cDisclaimerare and will fix it. With that in mind, here’s the full slice of our visit:
Anthony’s Pizzaria – Horizon Ridge, Henderson NV 📍 Tucked between Butcherblock and GolfTech
If you're cruising down Horizon Ridge Parkway and craving something hot, fast, and made with heart, pull off the road and follow the scent of fire-blistered crust and spicy marinara. It'll lead you to Anthony’s Pizzaria.
We were first-timers, ordering the Large Hawaii Five-O — a bold combo of pepperoni, pineapple, and jalapeños — to go. From the moment we stepped inside, the vibe felt different in the best way. No awkward waiting. No wondering who to talk to. Within seconds, a gentleman greeted us with a handshake and a smile. “I’m Anthony,” he said.
Yep. The Anthony.
Owner. Operator. Pizza man. He looked me in the eye, shook my hand, and welcomed us in like we were longtime regulars. That kind of hospitality stands out.
On the phone they said it would be 15 minutes, and just like that on-time, 15 minutes, the oven opened and our pie was coming out hot and fresh.
Let’s talk pizza 🍕:
Crust: Crisp at the edges with a golden finish, but soft enough in the center to give that perfect fold. No flop, no mess.
Sauce: Rich and savory with a little kick. It wasn't too sweet or overpowering. Just the kind of balance you want when spice and pineapple are involved and we all know I've had my fair share of pizza around here.
Toppings: That blend of salty pepperoni, sweet pineapple, and spicy jalapeños isn’t your average combo, but it hits. Every bite gives you something new. A little fire, a little sweet, a lot of flavor.
The place smelled incredible — garlic, toasted dough, and herbs in the air. It felt like one of those hidden gems you find by accident and then make your go-to spot.
Pro tip: Tell them Greg sent you. You might walk out with a free cannoli and your own handshake story.
Final Take: ✔️ Local. ✔️ Hot out the oven. ✔️ Run by the guy whose name is on the sign and he’s actually there. ✔️ Pizza made like somebody truly cares.
If you're anywhere near Horizon Ridge, Anthony’s Pizzaria is worth the stop. Five out of five slices. Also, so much more on the menu, I should have snagged some more...
Read moreIf you want an excellent pizza - a slice or a whole one - this is the place to be. Theirs is a New York style thin crust which requires two hand support unless eaten from a plate. I usually get the large Hawaiian style, and it's covered quite nicely with Canadian bacon and pineapple 😋 chunks. A friend of mine solves the flexible crust problem by folding his slice in half longways so it won't bend and eats it that way. Sunset Horizon has a large menu, so it's going to be a while before I can eat my way through it. There are many specials to choose from, either dine in and/or carry out. The large pizza is 16", I believe, and the carry out box is too big for the garbage can! The staff is friendly and helpful. The last time I was there, another customer recommended in glowing terms his favorites to me. So if you're on Horizon Ridge Parkway just west of Arroyo Grande and hunger strikes, take the first driveway into the strip mall and travel a short ways west, and there you are. It's on your right, next to a large cleaners and a brand new French bakery that was in the process of preparing to open. (But that's another review...
Read moreWe’ve been wanting to try this place, we moved to Henderson (from out of state almost 2yrs ago) and always see this every time we drive by. This place is legit and the ambiance is just very homey and just right.
Glad we finally did it, this is now our new go to. Let me count the ways:
👨🏼🦱I called to place an order for pick up and spoke to ANTHONY - amazing, super nice guy, he’s very pleasant and his approach to customers is just a cherry on top, another reason why this is needs to be part of every family’s Italian/pizza place.
🍕🍝 their garlic knots is to die for, it’s like eating foam and you just keep chewing trying to understand what the heck are you eating. It’s so good before you knew it you already ate a shipload of them! Some pizza place think that putting sauce and cheese is enough to qualify as pizza but this place knows what they are doing. And their spaghetti (we just ordered spag/marinara) our boyZ effortlessly devoured it, just like that!
💵 the price is very reasonable....
