Sorry, guys! They do have the best pastries, sandwiches and breakfast items. However, they need to train their young supervisor better! We were there on Memorial Day for brunch. Everything we ordered were perfect! My husband had the croissant egg sandwich while I had the avocado toast with a side order of an apple struddel. My mistake was to order the last apple turnover and an order of the beignets to go. 20 minutes later, my husband had to remind the staff that my order would be to go since he saw the beignets and the apple turnover on plates. The staff said they're going to put them in a box. A few minutes later, someone brought the box of beignets and instead of the apple turnover, there was the apple struddel, to replace the apple turnover. My husband immediately asked for the store manager. After about 3 minutes, a young girl went to our table and was very arrogant saying that our only option was to take the box with the apple struddel and the beignets or get a refund for the apple turnover. However, my husband was not happy with her tone of voice and attitude. The apple struddel was already in the box and the young supervisor did not apologive for their mistake. There was an older gentleman who worked there who apologized and told my husband where he was coming from. He was much nicer and knew how to pacify my husband. However, we would highly suggest management to look into this. We would probably not go back to this location even if it's much closer to our residence. We still love all of their breakfast items and pastries but we are hoping that something will change regarding...
Read moreThis place is a delicious French cafe. Good pastries and baguettes, good dishes. The seating arrangement is very European with smaller tables and seats. It’s in an unassuming strip mall… but pretty much everything is here in Henderson. We’ve come here a number of times as some of my family live just up the road. I don’t recommend coming here if you’re on a keto diet as you won’t find many things you can eat. I love getting the unsweetened hibiscus tea and adding the sweetener of my choice. I’ll sometimes get a chai latte. I wasn’t a fan of the galettes I’d tried because the “crepe” is a GF buckwheat instead of what they use for the sweet crepes, and I did t like the flavour combos I’d tried before, but then someone got a sweet snickers buckwheat crepe and it was delicious!! Last time I came I got the jambon (ham) croissant and it was very good! Someone had just devoured a French dip sandwich with the au ju and loved it but then tried my jambon croissant and said they loved it more. And their son tried it and loved it too. Get a baguette and you won’t regret it. We sometimes order them to take home and eat with other meals. I’ve also had the eggs Benedict and tuna melt and they’re good too. The sugar crepe (crepe sucre) is where it’s at though! And the French toast… they’re just a good with most of their stuff!! I definitely recommend coming and enjoying a brunch with friends here!
Update: they’ve expanded their space and the seating is comfortable and you don’t feel like each table is on top of the other. Ambiance/decor: 9 Food:...
Read moreHad a bald guy stare at me, while I waited for my food, along with some blondish lady with a botched surgery look. Thought to myself, well it's Vegas, it's not uncommon. Maybe they hated the fact that I had my two day old baby in a stroller, and a toddler in tow. We made sure not to block any path, or obstruct any movement, but the owner made sure to move the stroller herself, without permission, so some other bald caucasian male can move to bump my two day old in the stroller, when clearly, the other side of the table was open for movement and passing. There was no coincidence, the stare was due to bigotry and racism, and the audacity to grab a stroller in these pandemic times left me nauseated with disgust. Anyway, I'm from the Bay Area/Silicon Valley, a true enclave of foodie heaven. The food and coffee is sub-par, tasteless, and underwhelming. I truly didn't want to believe this was a racist establishment, because I had not encountered one in the wild, but the reviews left are real. Won't be coming back, and have warned followers and friends alike of the racism. Also, pay mind to how they treat the staff that are people of color, it's revolting, they got that authentic 1700s racism. How this establishment and ownership isn't cancelled in this day and age, is...
