Went to Jellyland for the first time today. At first I thought it may be cute decorative soaps like a few we have across the valley already, but upon asking a kind associate I was told it was actually a slime and sensory / fidget toy shop!
As someone who actually loves sensory /fidget stuff and slime; I was super excited to try their stuff out! The shop itself is BEYOND cute! The aesthetics is IMMACULATE! Everything is very neat and clean and displayed well. They have tester slimes at the front (with hand sanitizer available) and it helped IMMENSELY in choosing the right slime and texture for me.
As someone who isn't keen on the ins and outs of slime (just like the feel and ASMR of it haha) I was glad I was able to find different types of slime and find one not glue-esque in feel and not runny or sticky. I ended up purchasing their "Mint Chocolate Chip" slime and let me tell you, as someone who bought a slime on etsy with the same name and idea, Jellyland's was FAR superior. The smell was practically the same (did smell like mint chocolate chip) but the texture was easy to play with and soft and not messy whatsoever (didn't stick to my hands or become a runny mess. Also kind of accidentally dropped a wad of it on my bed but it didnt stick nor make a stain!)
I also would like to add their ice cream inspired slimes come packaged like a pint of real ice cream and is dislayed in a cute fake freezer with scoopers and toppings. Also there is a make your own slime kind of station where you pick a base slime and pick out toppings/charms and pay based on weight of toppings. There are plenty different slimes and textures offered that also come already packaged with toppings and cute charms though.
The fidget toys and scented items were amazing and so cute too! Soo many cute keychains and items and squishies!! The staff were super kind and helpful too! Highly recommend stopping by and taking a look and trying out their slime!
EDIT: Forgot to mention pricing haha, personally (as someone in the middle class) I feel like everything was fairly priced and affordable and was worth said price. The quality alone is super high and it beats buying from a slime shop online and having them ship it from who knows where (where it deactivates before it gets to you) or the AWFUL mass produced factory ones in...
Read moreToday I braved the mall to get to this store and it was so worth it!! I’m an individual with ptsd and was instructed by my therapist to find textured items that help me focus when I start to disassociate. I was overwhelmed upon entering the store. It’s filled to the brim with tons of colors. As my heart rate went up one of the clerks approached me and encouraged me to enjoy each section without rushing to the next one. I was dressed sloppy and looked a mess but she was so kind to me and took her time to help me find what I was looking for. She helped me find the slimes with scent levels that would not overpower me, and textures that would be soothing to my brain. I am so grateful for this store and their team. Matcha and sweet milk have the perfect levels of smell for me. The rest I bought because they smell like the actual food and I want all of my family to smell them and enjoy them too.
Thank you jellyland staff for being so welcoming, understanding, patient, and encouraging. I felt seen and...
Read moreI was not super happy when I checked out and saw it was roughly $30 for two small slime jars with some add ins... but what I will say is after 6 weeks my kids are still playing with their slime! The slime is much better quality then I have seen with other store bought products and the glitter/ all add ins stay in the slime! I am super impressed! The staff working were also so nice and helped us understand how to keep the slime better and assisted us with making them less sticky. I am a fan now and don't mind paying a little bit more as the product is far superior. I will also say we have gotten it on a few shirts and it washes off better then I have seen...
