M Resort Spa Casino — Local services in Henderson

Stayed here over the past 2 days. First off, I love the M and have never had a bad experience previously. My first time staying here was lovely but this time really missed the mark. It was my five year anniversary and my only request was to have a high floor and a king in the luxury strip view room that I had reserved.

However, upon checking in on Wednesday(around 5pm not very late considering check in is at 3) none of my requests were observed nor even considered. What I did receive was a room that reeked of pot(which I don’t really care about but I definitely don’t want to be charged or even reprimanded for it) on the lowest floor possible, 3rd floor) it had two queens and was an adjoining room for a suite. The view sadly, a/c units. The girl checking us in was hopeless. Didn’t greet us at all. She just said “ID and credit card,” she didn’t even look at us. It honestly may have been the coldest welcome I’ve ever received in Vegas. When we got up to the room I attempted to call down to the front desk to see if a room change was possible. But for some reason was not able to dial out it was just a busy signal with any button we pushed. My honey then went down to the front desk again and spoke to the ice queen that checked us in only to be told that they were completely sold out and that there was only one other room available. A king also on a low floor staring at the top of the valet awning. The shower handle for the faucet was broken and fell off into my hands when turning it. The room smelled musty and I’m not sure what they were doing next door or above us but until 2am it sounded like someone was bowling. Heavy thumps and a ton of noise of something being dragged along the floor.

The next day I extended our stay because we barely got any sleep the night prior and were exhausted. We decided to gamble and grab a bite. The hostess at the raiders grill was almost as rude as the front desk agent and when asked if we could sit by a window or to possibly have a booth she told us the place was expecting a party of 16. Which I understand is because of the convention however, they were to be sat in the patio area leaving the rest of the restaurant practically vacant except for maybe 5-6 other tables that were occupied with customers already eating. The place itself was pretty dead considering there must’ve been at least 10-12 extra tables empty and that was after the large party had been sat. We sat there for almost ten minutes without even an acknowledgment from wait staff. We left an ordered room service. Not sure what I ate that was bad but I woke up in the middle of the night with either a terrible stomach bug or food poisoning. And considering I only ate at the casino those two days I think it’s safe to say it was something I received while there. What a disappointing anniversary this was.

I really do like this casino but I definitely don’t know if I’ll ever stay here again let alone recommend it to anyone ever again. How sad. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Probably will receive the same generic reply that everyone else who had concerns about their stay...

The beautiful view changes from the flickering lights at night, to the mornings gorgeous mountains and cloud backdrop. Away from the riff raff of Vegas. The hotel I would give 4stars because there was a skunk lurking in the room next to me, and the bathroom was meh.

My issue is the casino. I was sadly disappointed because of the lack of communication and the poor customer service. Pitboss who couldn't comp a meal after playing over $2000, adding that comp was done through a host. A host that refused to even acknowledge the fact I left 4 message, different days and times, I kept an open mind hopeful for a response, but never did I receive a correspondence. A simple phone call to say preferred status isn't enough for a host to be respectful and return a call. I'm not sure whether to be personally offended or feel like my money wasn't good enough.

I've stayed at M before and had a much different experience, however I dealt with only a pitboss, not a host. So perhaps I upset someone enough by leaving messages (not rude or condescending), to mark my account or if thing just changed from a few months ago (sep2024).

Idk maybe I sound paranoid but the room was less impressive. Walking a football field to get to my room, and being afraid to use the tub because it reminded my of a truck stop sink after roughneck (oil worker) who left dead skin cells behind after getting days of work on the rig off the body. Also it was hot in the room. The A/C needs some tlc. I thought it was the summer heat the last visit, but it was cold in vegas this time. I was wrong about that.

The housekeeping staff was cordial and always smiled. Also, kind enough to greet and acknowledge you. The dealers were also friendly and tried to keep a conversation going to distract from the losses endured. The bathrooms everywhere were clean and smoke from cigarettes didn't go beyond the casino floor. The drink service was inconsistent but when you had cocktail servers, they were always coming back to check on you.

Honestly this review could have been a 4 star review, but the treatment from the host really ruined my experience thos time.

Casinos are a business, I could lose anywhere in Vegas and still feel satisfied. I was unsatisfied so I didn't continue play at M, nor would I in the future.

What upsets me the most is I've expressed good things about m in the past due to a great experiences previously. I truly hope no one in the hollywood casinos I frequent regularly who may have heard about my past, is condemned to my latest experience.

So I appreciate the fast response to my review, but it undermined my reasoning for 2 stars. The host would only get a star because google refuses to have zero to negative stars. This was me and my husband anniversary trip and his birthday trip. We haven’t had a trip in over 5 years without the kids so we were really excited about this trip and stay. The first thing they done was advertised the hotel as being on the strip, but when we got a taxi from the airport, they asked why we got a hotel so far from all the fun. So when we got ready to go places, the Ubers were pretty expensive there was no shuttle and they were pretty much right. We were far from everything when we checked in we originally booked a suite they did not have the room ready for us. We ask for a suite with a view, and they couldn’t even give us a regular room without a view. They were not apologetic about it without an anything, but we tried to make the best of it after getting to our room putting our luggage in the room and leave them back out. Our key stopped working and they done that over the course of the entire First night. We had to go to the desk five times to get new keys or our keys remade the last time we had to get keys made. We had to wait so long that my husband fell asleep in their lobby at 4am I know right horrible way to spend your birthday night. Sleep in a lobby when you should be in your Comfortable Hotel bed, enjoying not having your children’s feet in your face because of the discrepancy the gentleman told us that he would be making sure we were in a suite the next morning once we got up in the morning he wanted us to come down after 9 AM to pick up our keys. at 8 AM we were woke up to banging on the door and when we looked up, our door was opening and a housekeeper was standing at the foot of our bed while we laid in bed naked , saying are you guys want to get service today so we went ahead and got up, made our way downstairs to ask for our keys to the new room The front desk supervisor said the room was not ready yet. Could we come back and pick up the keys when we came back from our Outing the keys would be waiting at the front desk for us when we finally made it back to the hotel from our Outing we were told That they were getting ready to go to the back to get our keys instead a manager came out and said I apologize, but there is no room for you. We are all sold out. There was multiple rooms that had problems with their keys and other problems and they accommodated them in our face, but I feel like because of our skin color of African-American that we were treated poorly and handled even more poorly for me and my husband this hotel did not satisfy our needs and ruined our anniversary and his birthday. I asked the supervisor who told us that there was no room for us to write down every name of every person that mishandled this situation or that we talked to and that told us they would fix the problems and accommodate us due to...
