Last evening at Raiders Tavern & Grill, I had the single worst customer service experience of my adult life. Despite their own missteps, shortcomings and service failures, the management staff was unprofessional, unapologetic, and an overall disappointment to The M Casino Resort property and its brand reputation.
I made a reservation for a specific portion of "the restaurant" called The Coors Light Chill Zone; there are a number of leather recliners AVAILABLE TO BE RESERVED similar to tables (with the exception of Sundays.) I confirmed this reservation for two recliners THREE TIMES: Twice via restaurant-initiated text messages and once in-person over the weekend.
Monday evening, for Monday Night Football, I show up to the host stand and am immediately told that my reservation wouldn't be honored because a "private party booked the area." There was no apology. I was simply told that a manager was being contacted. I expect a manager to approach apologetically, attempting to explain THEIR misstep, and with an offer to make amends. No. I am met with a manager with ZERO understanding, empathy or MOTIVATION to resolve the situation other than to tell me "sitting in that area IS NOT HAPPENING."
I told him that I had confirmed the reservation via text and in-person on Saturday, and all he could think to say was 'WHO DID YOU SPEAK TO SPECIFICALLY,' as if I know the names of all employees. He told me he could seat me inside the virtually empty restaurant, which I clearly wasn't interested in because otherwise, I would have made the reservation for a regular table in the first place. I asked him what he thought he should be done to make amends and he RELUCTANTLY and FLIPPANTLY said, "and I'll even pay for your meal." This was beyond insulting; the issue here was the treatment, lack of accountability and overall ATTITUDE from management...NOT MONEY.
I did NOT choose to accept his "offer" for a comped meal. I will NOT return to The Raiders Tavern & Grill. I will NOT stop telling people about this HORRIBLE experience. And most importantly, I will NOT forget the STAGGERINGLY poor treatment I received as a LOCAL black woman from this "establishment." The M has treated me and my family well over the years. It is a shame that the Resort's good name and reputation are being DRAGGED downhill by The Raiders...
Read moreLooking at other reviews, I guess I went on the wrong day and time. I've lived in Las Vegas for 6 years and had the worst customer service experience of that whole time at the Raiders Tavern and Grill inside The M Resort at lunch time on January 27, 2024 after attending the home show as a party of 6 people. We were "greeted" by a hostess with a literal scowled expression. The greeting experience went like this: "How many?" (monotone) Six. "For parties of six, we only have hightops." (monotone) Okay. She then grabbed menus and walked away without another word, so we followed and she literally dumped the menus on a hightop table and continued walking away without breaking stride. It was as if they'd hired the April Ludgate character from the show PARKS AND RECREATION as a hostess. The waitress was pleasant, but messed up several of the orders (missing items that were ordered, not bringing out drinks). We'd asked if having 3 separate checks would be a problem before we ordered and were told it would not be an issue by our waitress. About 10 minutes after placing our orders, my wife's Diet Coke arrived as the only drink brought out. Then our food started coming out 1 to 2 plates at a time. We had to ask where everyone else's drinks were. Missing food items were noted to the waitress, but not brought out until we were all finished eating everything else and we had now been there over 45 minutes, so the items were declined and we asked for the manager. When bills were brought out, the items that hadn't been delivered were still listed on two of the bills and the third bill was for a different table altogether. There were apologies from the waitress, but no offers to make up for this experience and the manager NEVER CAME OUT after waiting an additional 15 minutes while getting the checks sorted out. The restaurant was not busy at all. Lots of employees were standing around, talking. All that being said, most of the food we did receive was really good! The corn ribs and bulgogi burger were my favorite items. Sadly, the food cannot possibly make up for their horrendous level of...
Read moreMy friend & I came here for dinner on 02/08/2024 before heading to the Amp'd lounge for a show. This place is very spacious. I've been here before so this wasn't my first time. She got there before I did & was able to order me a soda water. Seemed she was greeted right away. We actually had two different guys come to our table to wait on us so I was confused on who was our waiter...lol They were both great but then we saw more of Spencer. He was good, efficient & friendly. We had heard that the kitchen got slammed so it may take a little bit of extra time for us to get our food, which it actually didn't.
We started with their potato skins & I asked for some extra sour cream on the side. They were delicious & the right size for two of us to share. I was eyeing the fried chicken sandwich & the chef's salad but I thought the salad was expensive & had asked Spencer how big was the salad then was like "oh wait, your big may not be my big!" LOL He had told me it was big and ya know what he was right & it was bigger then what he showed me with his hands. I was actually surprised I was able to eat it all. It was the best chef's salad that I've ever had. My friend ordered the Asian salad & Spencer had told her it was their best selling salad. She loved it & man it looked so good. I'll have to try that on another visit.
I really wish this place had a happy hour. The space would be great for it for a small group, management should really think about this. I would definitely have some Meetups to bring in some extra business for them. Place was clean & they even have their own single bathrooms so you don't have to go out to the casino to use the bathroom which is what my friend had to do after she asked the hostess where the bathroom was. Not sure why they didn't direct her to the one in the restaurant??
I highly recommend checking this place out for some great food & I will for sure be back!!
Thanks for great service Spencer & to the cooks for yummy & good...
