Crepe Expectations is, without a doubt, one of the best breakfast/brunch joints in Las Vegas and one of my personal favorite restaurants. Their original location was far too small to handle the massive crowds that came there, but after moving a few doors down, the current location is plenty big to seat everyone who comes to the establishment, so it's rare to have to wait for a seat now. This is further helped in nice weather by Crepe Expectation's massive patio area! It's under a large awning so it's well shaded for those hot Vegas days.
The menu at Crepe Expectations is pretty simple: Crepes, Coffee, Mimosas. That's pretty much it. (They also have wine, beer, soda, & tea, but the focus is on what I just listed.)
Their crepes are divided into savory, sweet, and breakfast categories, with a wide variety of delicious and unique options. For savory crepes, I really like the Little Italy (a pizza crepe), the Sonora (carne asada, guacamole, & jack cheese), the Reuben (corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss cheese, & 1,000 Island dressing), and Big Lou's BBQ (amazing slow smoked pork & bbq sauce).
The sweet crepes are awesome and definitely the stars of the menu. The Go Bananas Foster is delightful if you like bananas. The Elvis is great for you peanut butter lovers out there (it's bananas, peanut butter, caramel, and bacon). The Lemon Berry Dream is basically a cheesecake crepe. And the Monkey is a delightful treat filled with Nutella and bananas. The sweet crepes are all dusted with powdered sugar and whipped cream.
My go-to crepes always fall under the Breakfast category, though. Hands down, my favorite crepe from the entire menu is the Rosarito, with spicy ground chorizo sausage, scrambled eggs, guacamole, and jack cheese. The Monterey and the Marco Polo are also go-to favorites.
Every dish comes with a side of either cottage cheese or sliced bananas. (The savory crepes come with the option for a side salad.) You can also request extras be added to your crepe, such as potatoes, spinach, or other vegetables and cheeses.
Crepe Expectations also offers a gluten-free crepe option, which is great for those with gluten sensitivities. Honestly, they taste pretty much exactly like the normal crepes, they're so good. And the cooks actually clean the irons before making a gluten-free order, so there's no chance of cross-contamination. When ordering, just ask them to make it "gluten free."
Crepe Expectations offers 13 different mimosa flavors, as well as a "mimosa flight" which lets you get 3 champagne glasses of different mimosas to try during your meal. Their selection of lates is quite nice as well for coffee drinkers. Regular coffee, as well as cucumber & lemon water, is available at a self-serve station for free unlimited refills.
Service at Crepe Expectations is great. You'll typically see co-owner Lou Remillard (recognizable by his large beard) working the register, and he's always friendly and helpful. He's also the genius chef behind the menu! The food comes out quickly by the servers, and on busy days they have a host who manages the seating. The kitchen is open so you can see your meal get prepared. The bathrooms are clean and well-kept. The prices at Crepe Expectations are also quite affordable, so you won't break the bank eating here (making it perfect for large groups). Parking is prevalent and easy to find.
The only complaint I have about Crepe Expectations is that the tables are often uneven and wobbly. That said, the seating is wide and comfortable, so big guys like myself are never uncomfortable during their meals.
Overall, Crepe Expectations gets my highest recommendation. Great food, great atmosphere, great service, and great drinks. I love coming here, and the food is always excellent. I can't recommend this restaurant enough! If you're looking for top-notch breakfast/brunch fare off the Strip, you should definitely check out Crepe...

Wow, crepe expectations is amazing. A must stop if in the Vegas area and like fresh homemade food. I got the Big Lou's bbq and the lemon berry dream because I wanted to try a savory and a sweet one. Beware though, one is plenty for one person, otherwise you will definitely have leftovers.
The owner's passion for his food and restaurant is evident in his front of the house presence and the way he talks about his food.
PS: I know this is a very long-winded review but I can't say enough good things about this place.
I always have a hard time picking places to eat especially in Vegas where there are so many options, but man am I glad I stumbled upon this place. I love trying new things and when I saw a crepe place I thought I would check it out because I love basic crepes with syrup or strawberries. I've always wanted to try a savory crepe and boy did this exceed my expectations. First off, I was greeted by the owner Lou, he walked me through the menu and offered suggestions. While it was hard to choose, I landed on the Big Lou's BBQ crepe and lemon berry dream crepe along with a refreshing fresh squeezed mango lemonade.
The Big Lou's bbq crepe was fantastic, especially with the homemade hot sauce. The crepe was loaded with delicious 16 hr slow smoked pork butt and homemade citrus bbq sauce (which had the perfect level of sweetness without being overpowering). I generally don't like coleslaw but the granny smith blue cheese coleslaw paired perfectly with the bbq crepe and offered a pleasant balance of flavor and crisp texture.
The lemon berry dream was loaded with nice fresh plump strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries. Yum!! The lemon filling was so light and creamy with a great lemon flavor without being overpowering. The balance of flavors was amazing. The mound of fresh whipped cream was so fluffy with the perfect amount of sweetness.
The crepes themselves for both dishes had a wonderful flavor and texture and complimented the dishes perfectly. The balance and palate of each dish was on point and the really elevated an otherwise somewhat simple genre of food.
Let's not leave out the great ambiance. I'm a stickler for a pleasant environment when indulging on delicious food and this place did a great job. The patio area was nice and secluded on the side of the restaurant and had a great modern French vibe. I sat outside on a chilly 50 degree afternoon but was surrounded by these wonderful heaters which allowed me to enjoy my food...
Read moreI dropped my wife off at Paul Mitchell to get her hair done and while she got that done my mom and myself browsed for local breakfast restaurants. This one popped up closest to me about three buildings to the right, so I figured I tried it out. The wait was about 40 minutes which I would consider fine for their number if great reviews read from this place, but about 15 minutes from those 40 were 3 tables completely open which we ended up sitting at and after we got our table you would think we would get our menus right as we get sat down but waited another 10 minutes for our menus. Not to mention in those 40 minutes there was a group of 4 that were put on the waiting list after us, sat before us and finished eating their meal and left before we sat down on our table! When we finally sat down I went inside to order our food and came back out and waited another 40 minutes for our food to come out, in that time frame another couple sat down after us, ordered, got their food, finished and left before we got ours! Since it took so long I figured I ordered for my wife because she was finishing up with her hair. My wife arrived as our food came out our order # was 16 and my wife's was #31 my mom and I finished eating our meal which took about 10 minutes and I saw the waiter bring food to the table next to us which were #17 and #18. We had been there for just over an hour and a half, so my wife went inside to cancel her order which she initially received attitude but still ended up getting her money. The waiter had good attitude with a welcoming environment and the crepes (The Rosarito) was delicious. But the waiting and attitude by the cashier gives this place a 2 star. The crepes were delicious as stated before but not something I would wait for 2 hours again. Unless your not in a rush and have about a good 2 hours to spend and wait for a crepe then try go ahead and try it, otherwise...
