Today is August 1. I visited and loved the new store for the first time in June and asked about consigning some things after seeing another consigner meeting with a clerk reviewing their items. I was given a card and was told to email and share photos with the owner, which I did on June 18 with no response. I followed up on July 5- again without any response. I shared just a taste of some of the things I think would sell well. Today I visited in person and Joe was very curt with me- saying "I don't know what to tell you- we are not purchasing any more items to consign...maybe if you were a dealer." I understand the store is new and the inventory may be full - but there is clearly still plenty of open space to fill. It is simply bad business practice to not respond to emails and then be short with a potential customer and consigner when they visit the store in person. A courteous and professional response could have been, "I am sorry. We are still getting settled in and are overwhelmed with requests. Maybe check back in a few months." Unfortunately you lost a potential customer and one who will not be recommending Hendersonville...
