I visit Aldi's for most of my grocery needs. Produce freshness, quality, variety and availability are important to me, Aldi's produce wins 5 Stars in all of the above Plus the prices are what makes it even more impressive! My yearly grocery bill is cut in half shopping here! 🎉 Love the weekly specials, the specialty items, the attention to healthfulness, makes it easier to innovate and create new healthy meals that have become favorites. Love the grass fed meat selections and the prices are not over the top! Same with fish and seafood...but selections vary week to week... Keeping flexibility in mind with your menu and all is well. They carry products that you don't normally see in the other grocery store chains, that's just one of the reasons that keeps us coming back. So much good to say about Aldi's, just go in and see for yourself... As in everything, some will like it, some won't...I love saving money, eating healthy and having a pleasant shopping experience. The Aldi's team are super courteous and helpful, Some of the original employees that opened the store are still there, that's always nice to see. And everyone is always courteous, ready with a quick Hello, and ask where we have been if we haven't been by in awhile... It's especially nice to see in this pandemic time, the store is clean and all are taking the necessary precautions to help keep everyone safe and healthy. 😊 Always a great experience shopping here, it seems everyone is calmer, not in such a rush, Kindness prevails here, I find customers helping customers a regular...
Read moreIf you went during their grand opening or opening weekend and saw a huge line and decided to leave, give it another chance when the hype dies down. It's honestly a great grocery store. I went to Aldi on its first day open. The store was in pristine condition and I did not have to wait in line long for checkout, which I really appreciate since I usually have a long wait for most other grocery stores in the area. The staff was very helpful and I was asked multiple times if I needed any assistance. One thing to note about Aldi is you need a quarter to use their shopping carts. This is actually one way of how they keep their costs down and you do get your quarter back when you return the cart. Also if you forget a quarter, like I did, they will give you one to use if you just ask. Where I grew up we had Aldi all over, I'm happy that they have come to the High Desert. Another note: Don't compare Aldi to other supermarkets in the area. They are a very specific kind of grocery store and if you want Stater Bros, Vons, Winco, or Trader Joe's, go to those stores! I don't go to In N Out and get mad that they aren't ...
Read moreI visited the location on Main Street in Hesperia in the early evening. I was disappointed when I was told that I would "have to come early in the morning" if I wanted to purchase bananas. More upsetting than that was the behavior and attitude of the front check-out staff. The young man was very rough with my items, and when I asked him to please be more careful with my food, he first blew me off and then proceeded to tell me that they are "timed." While I understand that a business wants the employees to be efficient, this is not the first time that the cashiers here have sacrificed customer service for speed. Please note that there was no one behind me in line. Additionally, when another employee heard me ask him this, she came over and asked if he was alright! Just because a customer doesn't want his or her food thrown around, it doesn't mean that they are mistreating the cashier. I was actually very kind and friendly to him, and he couldn't even be bothered to be friendly back. My group and I felt disrespected, and we are not sure whether or not it is worth returning...
